I may be reaching a bit here, but I believe there were several subtle hints at the beginning of the movie that suggested that the real Nikki might have been attracted to Bear, despite Sarah’s claim that she has been having secret affairs with Ian. 1. Nikki calls Bear and encourages him to join her and the rest of the friend group for trivia night 2. When they were talking at the bar, there was playful banter, and the chemistry was there 3. Nikki paid for Bear’s piña colada 4. Even when Bear was shy and hesitant to tell Nikki that she bought her a gift from the crystal store, she was still willing to listen to what he had to say 5. Nikki told Bear that he is the only person that will listen whenever she needs someone to talk to 6. Nikki said that when she has a crush on a guy, no one knows 7. Nikki wanted Bear to confess his romantic attraction to her, but got frustrated when he chickened out and just said that they’re “good friends” What do you guys think? Do you agree or disagree? I've got two questions that I'm curious to hear theories on. First, how did Wish Nikki know that Bear and Sarah were meeting, and how did she know where they would meet after bear left her in bed? Second, after Wish Nikki killed Sarah by smashing her head on the bricks, what do you think happened to Sarah's body? Did they leave it in the car, or did Bear and Wish Nikki move it somewhere off-screen? One of the most devastating scenes in #OBSESSION. The fact that Freaky Nikki / Wish Nikki explains to Bear how she feels empty and unsure of how to function properly when he isn’t by her side in this scene effectively motivates the audience to almost sympathize for her, in my opinion. I really wish someone could somehow increase the brightness on Nikki’s face so that I could clearly see her facial expressions while she’s delivering this HAUNTING monologue. Inde Navarrette, you are a generational talent.
