New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani issued an executive order on Monday to temporarily repeal bedtimes for children in the city while the New York Knicks complete their run in the NBA Finals, which they haven't appeared in since 1999. "As Mayor, you’re forced to make many difficult decisions. This was not one of them," Mamdani said in a post on X.

NEW: 58-year-old woman, who was on her way to do volunteer work, beaten with a bat by two masked thugs on a NYC street in broad daylight. New York City has a brand. Now these kids need to be stopped! I understand it was a graduation ceremony, and they deserved to celebrate. But because of the attention they’re getting from pedophiles, they’ve turned this transition video into content they keep recreating just for more views and attention. Sooner or later, this will only groom them into creating attention-seeking and sexualized content. I mean, there are so many other ways to use the internet than showing people how quickly you’re growing up or seeking to be sexualized. I can’t bear to see any of my younger sisters or even my own daughter, being involved in something like this.
