🧵Seems Cllr Stephen Holyday WILL interrupt & silence a speaker at a public meeting! But only if you ask him to denounce violent threats against cyclists & apologize for his complicity in allowing the idea of running over people on bikes in your way to be applauded 1/4

Our mic was silenced, the meeting stopped & security called, but @FFSafeStreets did get to ask him to apologize for staying silent during these threats & denounce them. He refused. Thanks to Perks & Cheng who stepped in to overrule @stephenholyday's attempts to silence Jess 2/4

Please email him [email protected] and read our full remarks here 3/4:

Our March 1 letter to Holyday that has for 20 day gone unanswered 4/4:

lol 19 days I guess...but you get the point.

Speaker Johnson: Can you answer 3 questions about President Trump? It’ll only take 60 seconds >>

@biketo @stephenholyday What a spineless display by Holyday. Far too much influence on a city of 3 million people. A schoolyard bully hiding behind a desk.

@biketo @stephenholyday ✔️

Have any other councillors denounced his actions by name? Have any other councillors asked him to apologize and denounce his approval of threats of harm towards people who ride bikes?

None that I've heard. The mayor kind of backed him up

@stephenholyday So he silences people who speak up and stays silent when it matters. Noted! He's got to be one of the worst City Councillors in recent history. And I'm in Bradford's ward -which is saying something..
