How strange. Driving through Headingley yesterday, saw this & thought of your early works. So raw & passionate, but so gentle too.

I toured with you for 'Workers Playtime' but never got to tell you what a great album I thought it was. Truly a joy.

What did Brewing Up originally come with. A tea bag or a 25p Luncheon Voucher.

Taxman and Playtime are 10/10 for me. The Home Front being one of the GOAT. Never got around to Brewing, this could be a golden opportunity, does it compare?

I've recreated the original Halo 2 credits in-engine for Halo 2: REBALANCE!! MCC Halo 2 doesn't show the original credits by default, instead just skipping to the post-credits scene. So I took it upon myself to give everyone who contributed the recognition they deserve! Not pre-rendered, fully recreated by hand from scratch based off eyesight alone. Yes, it was exactly as tedious as it sounds. I originally planned to just import the original video, but it turns out the Bink (pre-rendered video) player for MCC Halo 2 is broken, so I had to manually set up dozens of slides and effects as textures/models in-game. At 4K resolution too, so even higher quality than the original! Slide transitions and effects are all handled via game script and like a million different object function variables. I'd then time each slide/transition so that it all matches the original video. It fits right in exactly where it should, between "Finishing this fight" and the Cortana/Gravemind scene. It's a massive shame that the original credits for not just Halo 2, but ALL the games in MCC are missing. People spent years of their lives working on these games and are probably proud of their work, only to have the modern versions of them move their credits to a website that 99% of players won't see (and won't even work offline!). I couldn't imagine how frustrating it must be to have worked on these games and not get any recognition. So, at least for Halo 2: REBALANCE, the original developers, voice actors, and everyone else involved can get their due credit.

👿👿 This made my blood boil!!! Trump said so many things that aren't true in this statement yesterday about America needing foreigners to train American workers, it's hard to know where to begin. But I'll try: 1. Phone manufacturing doesn't require high skilled labor. One can easily train the manual labor up required for this. But in the U.S., companies will likely use advanced manufacturing techniques that require 100x less manual labor. 2. America already has 41 semiconductor fabrication plants. Did you even know that? We make all kinds of chips already. Not necessarily that latest, cutting edge ones, but that's changing. 3. Semi fabs do not require large numbers of people to work in them like car factories. 4. Chip production is a specialty that American universities train people to do. Many American engineers have various aspects of chip making skills already. But chip making is an exception in that we may need some foreign labor to help in the short term. None of the other industries he mentions are anything like chip fabs. There is no need to generalize from the specific needs of chip makers to the rest of American workers. None. 5. The 'temporary' visas used to bring the 'thousands of foreign workers' into the country were changed into 'dual intent' visas in 2001. So every one of those workers will be seeking a Green Card and other visas to extend their stays and migrate here permanently. 6. The battery factory in Georgia was using ILLEGAL labor. We already have visa types for companies transfer needed staff to the U.S. Why didn't they use the L1 visa type that was available? And they weren't training American workers, they were doing all the work. They were also living 10 to a house poor living conditions. They also has other non-Korean illegal aliens working in the factory. What can we take from this? These foreign owned factories will be filled with foreign workers. Americans can drive Doordash and be the plumbers who fix their toilets...

I’m at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The museum was originally a school in the middle of the city that was converted into a notorious torture prison by the communist Khmer Rouge in 1976. The Khmer Rouge pursued a radical communist revolution in which private property and money were abolished. Families were forcibly broken up, and millions of people were forced into hard labor and work collectives. Those labeled enemies of the revolution were imprisoned and killed. Their family members were not spared. Spouses and children were also killed to prevent surviving relatives from seeking revenge. Some 18,000 people passed through this one prison, where prisoners were brutally tortured to make forced “confessions.” Those who didn’t die at the prison were taken to the countryside to be executed. Rather than use limited ammunition, communist executioners frequently killed people with farming tools and other blunt instruments by bashing them on the head and face. Young children were simply beaten on a tree to death. I saw many, many skulls of victims that had been cracked and smashed in. This is video of some of the original jail cells at the prison. (There were other similar prisons all over the country.) The exterior corridors of this building still have the original barbed wire installed by the Khmer Rouge from top to bottom. It was used to prevent prisoners from escaping or attempting s—icide. These historical evils of the violent left have been scrubbed from history in western countries. Support my journalism at
