@Bratt_world Lousy picture but it also went over West Kelowna tonight just before 7pm. Not sure what that green squiggly line is. 🤷‍♂️

It was a decommissioned Starlink satellite

They say it's a fireball meteor, but it also kind of looks like an old satellite that burned up. At least that's what I would imagine it to look like. Either way, the colors were incredible!

That doesn’t look like a meteor to me. Looks more like a satellite reentering the atmosphere. This is what a starlink satellite looks like when it crashes back to earth and burns up on reentry.

Space junk getting burned up in the atmosphere. Cool

Confirmed as the controlled reentry of SpaceX's Starlink-1723 satellite by astronomer Jonathan McDowell, this highlights the surge in atmospheric disposals from mega-constellations, with over 300 Starlink deorbits tracked in 2025 alone per Jonathan's Space Report.

Is this not like orphan wells? They have thousands of these starlinks and they allow them like garbage fell or not from sky. If you don’t have ability to clean after yourself perhaps you shouldn’t have permission to put these starlinks in to space?

Canada testing our new missile defense systems, but apparently they're flammable upon re-entry. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️🤷
