Sega did it first

Jurassic Park (1994) stands out as one of the finest examples of Super Scaler games.

If you’re into retro game aesthetics, this account is fully dedicated to them, classic and modern. Feel free to drop a follow!

By the way, the first Super Scaler game was Hang-On (1985), a racing game by Sega. But other companies also made cool games with this style over the years. 4 examples: - G.I. Joe (Konami, 1992) - Riding Fight (Taito, 1992) - Lucky & Wild (Namco, 1993) - Slipstream (Capcom, 1995)

This game was insane for it's time at the arcade, played it to death at the mall when I was kid. That and Cyber Sleds

Rambo3 did it firster

I would say Hang-On and Space Harrier, both from 1985

this is the closest one to the original post ive seen

Best arcade game ever... That was always my first choice every time I went to Chuck E. Cheese.

It'll never be the same without the moving seat.

You don’t know how many quarters this exact scene took from people in the arcades 😭

These type of games used to traumatize you as a kid

II think many people don't understand what the appeal is about..

I played this game at Chuck E. Cheese with my brother when I was a little kid. It had the moving vehicle seat (that was super uncomfortable and threw you around. This game was crazy fun, but hard as hell. I wonder if it's still there.

The children yearn for Super Scaler graphics (it's me, I'm children)

dude this rocks wtf

Is there a practical way to play this?

oh man still remember this is first game i play with my father when i was 7 year old now im kinda miss him

Super scaler was insane technology back then, on consoles only really the Sega CD has something comparable (mode 7 could rotate backgrounds but not sprites like Super Scaler hardware and the Sega CD could afaik)

😬😬😬😬

Rail shooter and OWRPG is quite a bit different

God I remember the lines for this at arcades back in the day. It was so expensive too.

Photorealistic games were never what we asked for.

Yeah, but say you did it by hand didn’t use lazy AI

Oh my God I think I played this on a real Arcade many years ago?? Unless it was a 3D graphics but what's somewhat similar

A long time ago, when I was young, I played this game with friends at an arcade. It's pretty difficult, isn't it? The chair shakes, so you can really feel the sensation of fighting while riding a vehicle. 🦖 🔫😄🚗

@SwoleHalo the arcade

That T-Rex was so good and then the cardboard raptors jumped out XD

SuperScaler is definitely what the AI is trying to ape.

Whewwww, I spent all my tokens playing this one at Chuck E Cheese back in the 90s 😂💜 The game came with this COOL seat that would move and shake you around as the game played. The later arcade variations were still good, but weren't this cool 💜

This game used to HIT at Jeepers back in the day

It’s not the same.

AHHHHH HES GETTING CLOSE

I wish this would get ported to modern game consoles

I can't believe they had us out here blasting away Triceratops like that like we were some kind of neanderthals.

These layered games are so cool
