Dragon Age: Veilguard | High-Level Combat Overview Gameplay Full 10 Minute Video▶️ ▪️Warrior revolves around close range combat and defense ▪️The abilities you bring into battle is a strategic choice for each encounter, can be swapped out anytime outside of combat ▪️There are also three equippable Runes, these provide "a variety of control, utility, or additional damage to synergize with your build" ▪️Each class unique customizable abilities, for example warriors have certain abilities that deal fire damage ▪️There are then "Specializations" unique to each class that provide further abilities, including Ultimates ▪️Example: A Warrior specializing as a Grey Warden Champion will gain access to the devastating incendiary Warden’s Fire that launches a flurry of searing strikes that ignite foes like tinder ▪️Combat foundation: Each class has 4 core moves (jump, dodge, light attack, heavy attack) which can be chained together ▪️You can dodge mid-attack, light attacks do light damage and add small amounts of stagger, heavy attacks do more damage and build more stagger ▪️Enemies are more vulnerable fully staggered, Rook can perform takedown attacks ▪️Light and heavy attacks can be held down to deliver more potent versions, ex: a heavy attack can be charged while using a staff to unleash a magical wave of destructive energy ▪️Attacks can also be triggered while sprinting and/or jumping to add depth and fluidity to combat ▪️Each class has ranged attacks, blocks, and two distinct weapon sets that can be swapped seamlessly in battle ▪️Heavy attacks remove armor barriers faster, ranged attacks remove shield barriers faster ▪️You can pause with the ability wheel for more precise control, assign companions to attack specific enemies individually or together ▪️You can bound shortcut keys/buttons for abilities ▪️Different enemy types are weaker vs certain elements (darkspawn are weak to fire damage for example) ▪️You can apply buffs and debuffs (Davrin's "Heroic Strike" ability applies the "Overwhelmed" debuff to enemies which increases stagger) ▪️Area of Effect attacks are also necessary to defeat large groups of enemies, buffs/debuffs are important for crowd control ▪️Abilities require class resources to able to use (Mana, Momentum and Rage). You build these up by dealing damage as well as a secondary way (warriors by taking/dealing damage, rogues by dodging/parrying successfully, mages regain Mana passively over time) ▪️Sword and Shield warriors have access to the Shield Throw Volley: By landing a Heavy Attack on a Shield Throw return, the shield will ricochet, taking out multiple enemies. This sequence can repeat up to three times, causing a "devastating ring of damage around Rook" ▪️Warriors also have the Grappling Spear which can pull enemies closer (helps to dispatch specific enemies on higher difficulties) ▪️You coordinate specific attacks/abilities are primers to "prime" enemies and detonators to "detonate" for extra damage ▪️Ultimates are the most powerful abilities. Doing damage increases your Ultimate Meter and are unique to each class and specialization This looks fantastic, like a more fluid Inquisition. A genocide against Ukrainians is unfolding right now. It already has a name: "Kholodomor" (exhaustion through cold) This crime is being deliberately committed by Russia. In legal terms, it has a clear definition - genocide. Under Article II of the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, one of the defining acts of genocide is: "Deliberately inflicting on a group of people conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part." Many Ukrainian cities - Kyiv foremost among them - have been without electricity, heating, and water for the second week in a row, amid severe frosts. What does this mean? It means people are being condemned to death by Russia. This is what is happening: ▪️ Elderly people cannot leave their apartments to buy food or water because elevators do not work - or because they are physically unable to walk down the stairs; ▪️ No communication: mobile phones are dead, there is no way to call for help or an ambulance; ▪️ Sick people cannot use life-sustaining medical equipment because there is no electricity at home; ▪️ Mothers of small kids carry their children and strollers up staircases in high-rise buildings - along with water and food; ▪️ No hot meals and no possibility to cook food at home; ▪️ Sewer system failures, creating critical and dangerous conditions; ▪️ Illness caused by extreme cold and the inability to stay warm; ▪️ Children cannot attend schools because there is no heating. Distance learning is also impossible without electricity; ▪️ Kindergartens are closed, mothers cannot work, earn money to feed their children; ▪️ Stray animals are freezing to death on the streets; ▪️ Even pets are dying from the cold - parrots, aquarium fish, animals kept in terrariums; ▪️ Animals in zoos are freezing; ▪️ Collections of rare plants in Kyiv’s botanical gardens have frozen and died; ▪️ Small businesses are earning nothing, forced to spend money on generators and fuel - causing direct losses to the economy; ▪️ Severe harm to the environment and public health due to the constant operation of massive numbers of generators; ▪️ Public transport functions far worse due to power outages; electric transport does not operate at all, leaving people unable to reach work, doctors, or essential services; ▪️ Burst pipes and freezing temperatures are destroying homes, making them uninhabitable; ▪️ Hospitals are forced to cancel planned surgeries, operating in emergency mode and at full capacity; ▪️ Rates of depression, anxiety disorders, and burnout are sharply increasing. Russia wants to make large Ukrainian cities uninhabitable. This is a humanitarian catastrophe deliberately caused by Russia.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 | Details from Hands-On Media Previews ▪️"Taken aback by the sheer scale, atmosphere, and attention to detail", "feels like 40K nirvana" ▪️A lot of effort has gone into worldbuilding, "could very well be the most authentic Warhammer 40K game we've seen to date" ▪️Blend of shooting and melee feels very fluid and satisfyingly brutal ▪️Parries, dodges, counters, gun strikes. Parries can instantly kill smaller enemies or interrupt larger enemies' combos ▪️Some liked the parries and finishers, others felt they broke up the flow of combat and slowed it down too much ▪️Multitude of execution style attacks, like tearing limbs off tyrannids and ripping apart the power armor of The Thousand Sons ▪️Gain health through consumable stims found in the game, executions are vital as they fill a portion of your armor ▪️More strategy: Take out groups of smaller enemies first that are surrounding you, or focus on the larger, tougher enemies to sever their synaptic link to the smaller ones? Ranged enemies can slow you down or poison you, while other enemy types buff others ▪️Jump Pack: Fire from high up, dive down on enemies with a devastating strike ▪️Boss Fight: Example of one with a Thousand Sons sorcerer - completely different gameplay experience that was a visual spectacle, cast spells and traverses across the battlefield, 'horrific' eyes emerge from the walls and ceiling of the room, ground turned to liquid, etc (lots of magic) ▪️Graphics are a "feast for the eyes": tons of details in characters, armor, weapons, environments, animations, bolt round explosions, skies filled with tons of enemies, "chaotic soundscape is spot on" ▪️Operations Mode: PvE co-op missions, takes place alongside the main story, play as your own customizable space marine in a squad of 3 ▪️One PvE mission sees your squad spring a trap on a Tyrannid Hive Tyrant, which disables a Tyrannid swarm that Titus was fighting in a separate campaign mission, makes you feel like a part of the bigger picture in the story ▪️PvE missions will take about 30 minutes on normal difficulty, variety comes from the AI director that changes up enemies depending on your class and playstyle, springing surprise ambushes, etc ▪️Classes | Tactical Marine, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, Heavy - each comes with different weapons, perks, abilities that have unique uses on the battlefield Gamespot: IGN: Push Square: #Warhammer40K #SpaceMarine2

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle | Previews & Details ▪️You can feel the DNA of Chronicles of Riddick/Wolfenstein games ▪️Surprisingly a bit like Hitman in stealth systems and the way levels are designed ▪️There are many mysterious locked chambers, complex ancient mechanisms, and ritualistic challenges to solve ▪️Examples of puzzles: stealth section to find a golden medallion inside a Nazi base, unlocking a door that unexpectedly opens up a spike pit under your feet, reflecting multiple beams of light across a room to retrieve a mask ▪️Linear storyline, but there are open areas which include side characters, hidden secrets, added rewards, and photo opportunities ▪️One open area sees Indy in an Egyptian bazaar, passing through crowds and finding a stall, which offers up a conversation with the owner and an opportunity for a side quest ▪️These sections are "packed with detail", hidden passages, scattered documents, etc that add context to the story ▪️You'll be able to revisit these areas once you’ve unlocked them and return to find more at a later time ▪️Whip: Useful combat tool, can drag onrushing Nazis in a fight, and also used to grab object in the environment, smash them, swing with, or use as a climbing rope ▪️Camera: Indy packs a film camera that players can use to take pictures of their adventure for "Adventure Points". It also helps offering pointers for puzzles and deepening the story ▪️Journal: Acts as a sort of de facto hint system, with Indy's own notes helping to guide you. Discoveries, documents, photos, physical maps you find in the game world are also stored there ▪️Lighter: Can help illuminate dark places or maybe ward off some snakes ▪️Indy also uses other tools throughout the world, like picking up a spear to throw into a wall that acts as a swinging point, breakable bottles to distract enemies, hammers to use in combat, etc ▪️Skills: There are dozens to unlock but not through a traditional skill tree. You'll find "Skill Books" hidden in the world, each of which open up the ability to unlock a new skill ▪️You can unlock a skill through earning and spending "Adventure Points", which you get by making discoveries, taking photos, etc ▪️One skill book teaches Indy "True Grit" for example, which lets him take a fatal blow in a fight but then retrieve his hat, dust himself off, and keep fighting ▪️Disguises: Throughout the game, opportunities arise where Indy can change into different sets of clothes to blend in and enter forbidden areas ▪️One example sees Indy dressing as a worker in Giza to enter a Nazi HQ at a dig site. There he finds a group of enemies playing cards inside a tent, and is immediately forced to fetch them a drink.
