"The Democratic Party's actions had left many U.S. citizens feeling humiliated. Signs of a Trump victory were proclaimed well before Biden withdrew from the race. The voters had had enough." 📝 @KarinaLMariani

The selective outrage is impossible to miss. Rahul Gandhi, who today speaks the language of protest and democratic rights, had a very different view in 2011 during Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption movement. In Parliament, he warned: “A process divorced from the machinery of an elected government that seeks to undo the checks and balances created to protect the supremacy of Parliament and this House sets a dangerous precedent for our democracy… Today, the proposed law is against corruption. Tomorrow, it may be directed toward something that is far less universally heralded. It may attack the plurality of our society and our democracy.” Back then, Rahul Gandhi effectively portrayed a mass protest as a threat to democracy. Today, he invokes democracy to defend another protest. Which Rahul Gandhi should India believe? And while the Congress lectures others on compassion, let us not forget the midnight police crackdown on Baba Ramdev’s peaceful protest at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan in June 2011 under the UPA government. Tear gas, lathicharge and force were used against sleeping protesters. Rajbala, a 51-year-old woman participating in the protest, suffered catastrophic spinal injuries that left her paralysed. After months of battling for her life, she succumbed to those injuries. Contrast that with the present case. Sonam Wangchuk was shifted to a hospital following directions of the High Court to safeguard his health during an indefinite fast. There was no midnight lathicharge, no violent dispersal, and no attempt to crush dissent through brute force. If Rahul Gandhi wishes to invoke the values of truth and non-violence, he must first explain the Congress party’s own record instead of indulging in political amnesia.

President Trump just summed up the hypocrisy of modern Democrats in one brutal line by pointing out how the same people screaming “Jim Crow 2.0” about voter laws in mostly red southern states stay completely silent about heavily white, overwhelmingly blue New England states running elections under systems that are often even stricter. That’s why this hit so hard online. Trump exposed what millions of Americans already believe: for the political establishment, the outrage is never really about “democracy.” It’s about power and control. For years Democrats and media activists tried painting southern states as evil or racist anytime they passed voter ID laws, tightened ballot rules, or changed election procedures, while conveniently ignoring similar policies in deep blue states because those states vote the “correct” way politically. Trump’s point landed because it cut straight through the selective outrage and double standards people are exhausted from hearing every election cycle. The reason reactions exploded is because Americans are getting tired of being lectured by elites who apply completely different standards depending on who controls a state. One side gets branded dangerous and anti democracy for wanting election security, while the other side gets praised as defenders of democracy doing many of the same things. Trump has always been effective at taking complicated political hypocrisy and turning it into one sharp line regular people instantly understand, and this was another example of exactly that. 🤡

The way foreign media is suddenly obsessed with covering every breath of this so-called " Cockroach Janta Party" movement complete with dramatic drone shots, teary interviews, and instant "democracy in danger" headlines, has me 100% convinced. This isn't organic outrage. This is a scripted, well-funded operation. Look at the pattern: Selective outrage, amplified narratives, timed leaks, and an ecosystem that activates the moment any anti-India angle appears. Western outlets that barely noticed farmer suicides, temple recoveries, or border tensions are now laser-focused on "protests" involving the same set of usual suspects. Why the sudden love for "cockroach Janta"? Because this isn't a people's movement. It's a destabilisation project. Foreign entities, think tanks, NGOs, foundations with a history of colour revolutions elsewhere, have poured in money, strategy, and narrative control for years. They fund the activists, the lawyers, the media amplifiers, and the opposition ecosystem that provides the local faces. The goal is simple: Keep India unstable, divided, and distracted from becoming a true global power. They tried it with Anna Hazare, then "India Against Corruption" which later exposed itself. They tried it with CAA protests, farm laws, and every election cycle. Now it's this. India's democracy is messy, loud, and argumentative, that's our strength. But when foreign money and foreign cameras start directing the orchestra, it stops being dissent and becomes hybrid warfare. We saw this playbook in other countries. It ends the same way, chaos, economic damage, and weakened sovereignty.
