Frustration with VAR clear from replies. Powerbrokers/lawmakers have to listen to that, understand that, act on it. VAR not going away, too much committed, so it’s about improving it. Asking fans how - time limits etc - would be a start. Discussed more on

Lovely how they are now changing the rules of a competition half way through the season. FA cup replays sacked off, fixtures changed for TV at the drop of a hat. Match going fans suffer for the sake of TV audiences 🥴🥴

“Speed up decision making” - if it’s not instantaneous then it’s too slow Henry. It’s ruining the game. Time limit should be instant like with goal line tech. Anything short of that is not good enough.

If it takes VAR more than a minute to decide if the ref has mad a clear and obvious mistake, it’s not a clear and obvious mistake. They also could do with a team of ex-pro’s assisting with the decision making.

VAR kills the ability to celebrate a goal properly & does not eliminate human inconsistencies. Any marginal benefits do not outweigh the downsides. Only winners are referees who have more jobs & can now work remotely indoors.

Henry. We just want correct decisions. Don’t care if the game is re reffed. Just get the decision correct as best we can.

Bryan Hamilton thought ( and everyone else) he had scored a last minute winner to take Everton to the final. Only for Clive Thomas to rule it offside Liverpool went on to win the replay and a place at Wembley. Would VAR have given it?
