Sen. John Kennedy makes Bill Maher’s face work overtime with a reality bomb on immigration. Maher asserted to Kennedy that people from his own party believe Trump is taking immigration enforcement too far. But his face twisted unusually the moment Kennedy revealed to him that “about 47%” of the...

Bill Maher gets absolutely SCHOOLED by Senator John Kennedy on immigration reform — Kennedy said it’s not only illegal immigration, it’s LEGAL immigration that needs fixing. And the number he dropped at the end caused Maher to do a double take. He was out of his depth. MAHER: “Okay. So he [Trump] made his point. He is the tough guy.” “It gives him the opportunity now to be the guy who says, okay, I’m actually going to do comprehensive immigration reform because this is been…how long have you been in the Senate?” KENNEDY: “10 years…in dog years that’s about 70.” MAHER: “Why couldn’t Trump be the one to get this done? You talk to him, I bet you could put that bee in his bonnet.” KENNEDY: “You know what the real answer is? The real answer is immigration reform. That’s the real answer.” MAHER: “Well, we did that, we closed the border.” KENNEDY: “I’m talking about not only for illegal immigration but also for legal immigration.” “And the truth is, Bill, if you are honest, and you are, we have let more people into America legally every year than anyone in the world, because the whole world wants to come here.” “When’s the last time you heard of somebody trying to sneak into China? I mean, they want to come to America.” “But we could do that better if my Democrat friends would sit down and talk with us.” “But when we sit down to talk, the first thing they want is amnesty, amnesty, amnesty. And that dog is not going to hunt right now.” MAHER: “Couldn’t there be some sort of agreement on that? Because people are saying…even people from your own party…is that yes, we wanted to get rid of the criminals, we were all for that. And there are some…” KENNEDY: “Yup, it’s about 47%.” MAHER: “47%?!” KENNEDY: “Yup, I saw numbers this morning. About 47%.” MAHER: “Sounds bullshitty to me…but maybe.”

Sen. John Kennedy fires back at Bill Maher and cracks him up after Maher delivers a grave prediction for Republicans over ICE drama. Maher said Republicans will get the “dog shit” kicked out of them in the midterms because “this is not what people voted for.” Kennedy instantly got Maher laughing the second he opened his mouth. MAHER: “John, I’m just going to say it to you. I’m not trying to pick a fight right away. But my prediction is this stuff, your party is going to get the dog shit kicked out of you in the midterms. Come on. Because this is not what people voted for. And they’re going to hold the party as responsible as they should.” KENNEDY: “Well, let me give you my take on it, Bill. You don’t have to be Einstein’s cousin or a senior at Caltech to know that illegal immigration is illegal. Duh!” (Maher laughs) KENNEDY: “Those of us who believe that no one is above the law have to concede that folks who are in our country illegally are not above the law either. I support enforcing our immigration laws. Now, how you enforce them matters.” MAHER: “That’s the key.” KENNEDY: “You have to do it in accordance with due process. Equal protection in Terry v. Ohio. Reasonable suspicion. It’s okay to protest. It’s NOT OKAY to protest violently. Violence undermines the morality that you say your movement is built upon.” MAHER: “But that five-year-old was not being violent.” KENNEDY: “I understand. But protesting violently not only undermines your movement, it’s a 12-piece BUCKET OF STUPID. Somebody’s gonna get hurt.”

Sen. John Kennedy absolutely schools Bill Maher with a brutal history lesson on who really “defrauded” America. Bill Maher thought Biden’s DOJ was justified in charging Trump with “conspiracy to defraud” America over the 2020 election. But he got hit with reality when Kennedy brought up the false promises of Obamacare and Biden’s mental cover-up as the real conspiracies to defraud the American people. KENNEDY: “President Biden, for the first time in this country’s history, prosecuted a former president, a former opponent who was his current opponent. I understand he unleashed spirits he could not control.” MAHER: “It was the first time we did that. It was also the first time that something PROMPTED us to do that.” KENNEDY: “No, no, wait a minute… Imagine that President Trump defrauded the American people. Okay, well, what does that mean? How about when President Obama said, ‘If you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance?’ Is that fraud?” MAHER: “Not quite on this. No. Come on.” KENNEDY: “But is that fraud?” MAHER: “It wasn’t the best thing he ever said, and it turned out to be not completely true.” KENNEDY: “How about the people around President Biden, okay, who hid studiously and successfully the fact that he had neurodegenerative disease. Should they be prosecuted?” Once Maher realized he was cornered, he pivoted to a hard question about the 2020 election. This is 89 seconds of pure fire from Kennedy.

Bill Maher leaves his guest visibly dumbfounded after yanking him out of his liberal bubble. Patton Oswalt couldn’t believe what he was hearing: “I’m sorry, I don’t remember [the left doing] that.” That’s when Bill Maher told him why his blind spot was so massive: “Because it doesn’t get into the Blue Sky Bubble.” OSWALT: “I hate to admit this: this country is not as mature as it thinks it is. We elected Obama, and clearly the country freaked out. And we’re still living in that freakout. We are not as progressed and evolved and intelligent as we think we are because we keep freaking out about this stuff.” MAHER: “The left freak out, too. The left freaked out about a lot of bullshit too.” OSWALT: “What did they freak out about?” MAHER: “Gender, race, parenthood, schools, homelessness, crime, the border, education. We stopped being a scientific people.” OSWALT: “But the left certainly stayed scientific.” MAHER: “No, they didn’t.” OSWALT: “Why not?” MAHER: “Because they think gender bullshit that they went way too far with… What makes us a great country is that we respect minorities. We don’t think they’re lesser just because they’re lesser in numbers. That’s not what we started to teach, which was that every baby is — I don’t know — let’s not even put it on the birth certificate. That’s what they wanted.” OSWALT: “Were we teaching that? Yes. When were we teaching that? Teaching it. It was a law here in California, see.” MAHER: “Yes.” OSWALT: “When were we teaching that?” MAHER: “Teaching it — it was a law here in California.” OSWALT: “To teach what?” MAHER: “Don’t put sex on the birth certificate. ‘We’ll see.’ Now, we’ve passed that period now.” OSWALT: “I’m sorry, I don’t remember that.” MAHER: “Because it doesn’t get in the Blue Sky bubble.”

Senator John Kennedy just delivered over two straight minutes of pitch-perfect “Kennedyisms” on NewsNation. As Katie Pavlich sat across from Kennedy, she couldn’t help but crack up at times. KENNEDY: “The idea that we send billions of dollars to dead people and they get cashed. The checks get cashed so obviously a lot fraud.” “When you die Katie, not that you’re going to die anytime soon, but when you die, your name goes to the Social Security department, they have a list dead people.” “And but they wouldn’t share it with anybody else. They wouldn’t share it with the Department of Treasury for example.” “So I had to go pass a bill. Took four years to pass the bill, believe it or not I had opposition. But we finally got it passed and the president signed it yesterday.” “And so far as I can tell, dead people can still vote, but they can’t cash checks because we’re not going to sending them to them anymore and it’s going to save billions and billions and billions of dollars.” ——————— KENNEDY: “Well, every state is different. Some state governors cooperate, some of them don’t.” “Governor Walz didn’t cooperate. He knew about this fraud, he knew all about it. You know, he lied about it. I’m sorry.” “No offense to the governor but he learned to lie before he learned to talk.” ——————— KENNEDY: “This book, I think the reason it’s done okay is because t’s not a policy book per se. It’s a storybook.” “I use real stories to make to make my points about policy. And some of the stories will make you laugh. Some of them are very bizarre. All of them are true.” “I hope the book will make people think, I can say it’s all true, it may make you want to day drink because some of it’s not pretty.” ——————— PAVLICH: “Why is it that Washington will never test negative for stupid?” KENNEDY: “Well I don’t know. Maybe it’s something in the water.” “There are a lot of of intelligent people in Washington, but I call them high IQ stupid people.” “They’ve got lot of education, but no sense.” ——————— KENNEDY: “This place is…uhhh…some days it’s like the game room of a mental hospital up here.” ——————— KENNEDY: “I’ve got a lot of friends in the House and Mike Johnson’s a good friend of mine, and Steve Scalise and Jim Jordan and many others.” “I shouldn’t say this, but they’re not any better or worse than the Senate.” “Both chambers, sometimes, are like a circus without a tent.”
