Without fail, there's that Christian (from his profile) conservative whataboutism and illogical fallacy false equivalency argument. It never ceases to amaze me how much Trump-Republicans stick together for their leader Donald Trump. Hegseth doesn't appear to have been vetted in the first place and has no adminisrative background. Trump can nominate someone else. Jake Tapper should not have to remind a US Senator of the critical responsibilities of being the US Department of Defense Secretary. This is knowledge any citizen knows. The Secretary oversees the Pentagon - the largest department in the executive branch as well as our US military. He should have told Sen. Mullin that if a crisis call comes in at 3am or so, the Secretary has to be alert and take the call asap. If Pete Hegseth or anyone is in a drunken stupor passed out, he wouldn't be able to take critical calls right away. Perhaps his wife could revive him with a glass of ice water thrown on his face or even a slap, but he's still not able to handle tough decisions and there is zero room for bad ones. #NoToHegseth
