Mehdi Hasan: “It’s a moral abomination and it’s tactically stupid. They bombed a submarine and let the sailors drown to death. Even the Nazis didn’t do that. Donald Trump doesn’t give a damn about Iranian lives. Have we learned nothing from Iraq or Afghanistan? All we seem to have learned is from Gaza and that is Israel has learned you can bomb hospitals and schools with impunity and no one’s gonna stop you”

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 “TRUMP HAS 3 OPTIONS, AND NONE ARE CLEAN” Joel C. Rosenberg says Trump is boxed in on Iran, with 3 paths on the table: do nothing and lose credibility, launch a large but limited strike, or go all-in on regime change. While regime change might sound appealing, it's not realistic from the air, and repeating Iraq or Afghanistan is a nonstarter. Instead, Trump is most likely to choose a hard but contained strike to seriously damage Iran’s military while avoiding ownership of whatever comes next. Full Interview with Joel C. Rosenberg and Glenn Diesen below.

George Monbiot on #bbcqt James Cleverly has learnt nothing from Iraq, has learnt nothing from Afghanistan, has learnt nothing from Libya What we see is Trump acting as a global choas generator. The further we stand away from this, the better.

Since when has regime change from the skies ever achieved regime change. We must stick to our national self interest. we must remember the lessons learnt from our involvement in the Iraq War, which I voted against.

“You don't liberate people at the barrel of a gun, with bombs... Have we learned nothing from Iraq or Afghanistan?” Mehdi Hasan explains how the Iran war mirrors the 2003 Iraq invasion, emphasizing how Trump doesn't care about the Iranian people on ‘All In With Chris Hayes.’

Absolute injustice. This erodes our justice system. Hear me clearly: You cannot silence the American people. You cannot stop us from voting for change. Joe Biden — you’re fired. We the People stand with Donald J. Trump.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Regime-change-by-airstrike is the biggest fantasy in modern warfare, and the guy who literally wrote the textbook on air campaigns just said it flat-out: It has NEVER worked. Not once. In 100 years. University of Chicago’s Robert Pape's argument is brutal: Whenever a country gets bombed from the air with no ground invasion to follow, something predictable happens: people rally around the regime, even if they hate it. Smart bombs hitting targets perfectly don’t equal control. They create the illusion of control. And that illusion is exactly how great powers sleepwalk into escalation traps they can’t climb out of. Once you declare regime change as your goal but refuse to put boots on the ground, history gives you a 0% success rate. And ironically, the harder you hit from the air, the more tightly the regime and population fuse together. Air power can degrade, it can punish, and it can destroy hardware. But air power alone cannot change a regime. Source: Novara Media

🚀🇮🇷 WATCH: Iranians chant 'Allahu Akbar!' (God is Great) while being bombed and air defenses are active in the background You cannot make this nation surrender.

🚨 TODAY: Iranian Americans including NIAC’s Isabella Javidan, alongside CODEPINK AboutFace and Cuban Americans For Cuba, disrupted Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s congressional testimony to confront him over the Trump administration’s escalating economic war on Iran. You cannot claim to stand with the Iranian people while bombing them, impoverishing them, cutting them off from education, and isolating them from the world. You cannot starve a people into freedom. You cannot bomb them into democracy. END THE WAR. END THE BLOCKADE. END THE SANCTIONS.

Johnson: It was deranged to think you could change Iran’s regime from the air. Did we learn nothing from 2003? I don’t much like a regime that kills women for not wearing the right headgear. But change has to come from within Iran. We’ve gone about it the wrong way. 3X

After Afghanistan and Iraq, Americans are rightly skeptical about a regime change war. If President Trump is pushing for a regime change war in Venezuela, they need to be very clear with the American people about it.
