Sen. Richard Blumenthal says “we’ve learned nothing from ICE” when asked about recent ICE operations carried out in Connecticut, but tells Margaret Brennan, “We know that probably about 100 were detained and arrested. Very few of them, only a fraction, maybe six or seven, have any kind of criminal...

CIA Director John Ratcliffe warned Russia not to attack NATO member states during his visit to Moscow, CBS News reports, but that secretive trip by Ratcliffe “could well be empty and ephemeral unless it is backed with a real show of strength,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) tells Margaret Brennan, saying Putin “understands only force.” “To warn or try to persuade Putin with words” is “largely going to be ineffective,” Blumenthal adds.

U.S. UN Ambassador Mike Waltz stops CBS’ Margaret Brennan dead in her tracks as she attempted to paint a narrative that the Trump administration had forgotten about the American hostages in Iran. He reminded Brennan that President Trump has a better record of bringing Americans home than any president in modern history. BRENNAN: “I know the families of hostages appreciate you mentioning them. Many were disappointed that their families were not included in any good will gesture. There are six Americans being held.” “Back to the deal. The vice president indicated some of the—” WALTZ: “But Margaret, I’m sorry.” “I’m sorry, that’s a very important point. I want those families to know their loved ones are not forgotten and this president’s record in getting Americans home is unparalleled from any president in modern American history.” “I just want them to hear that loud and clear. This president has his eye on the ball. Sometimes these talks are handled out of the public eye.”

She got taken to the woodshed on her own show. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem just destroyed CBS’ Margaret Brennan over ICE arrests — and called out the network live for distorting the facts. Brennan tried to spin the numbers, claiming it’s not 70% of ICE detainees with criminal convictions. BRENNAN: “What’s the breakdown of the percentage of those in custody who have actually committed a criminal offense, versus just the civil infraction?” NOEM: “Every single individual has committed a crime, but 70% of them have committed or have charges against them on violent crimes, and crimes that they are charged with or have been convicted of that have come from other countries that are here illegally, first of all, and then they have committed a criminal act while they’ve been here or in their home countries, as well.” BRENNAN: “It’s not 70%.” NOEM: “Yes, it is. It absolutely is.” BRENNAN: “70% of everyone detained has—” NOEM: “You keep changing your percentage. You pick and choose what numbers you think work, but that is the fact, is that 70% of the people that we have detained have charges against them or have been convicted of charges and they need to be brought to justice.” “And we’re going to keep doing that no matter how much you device keep lying and don’t tell the public the truth.” “It absolutely is that these law enforcement officers are out there every day doing the work to protect the American people and they will keep doing that because they believe in enforcing the law, which is exactly what President Trump has charged them with.”

The Supreme Court ruling narrowing the application of the Voting Rights Act is “nothing less than a massive and devastating blow, not only to our democracy, but particularly to people of color in the South,” Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) says. “This question about intent is on its head, misleading, and it ignores our history,” he tells Margaret Brennan, and argues, “we will see a devastating impact as a result of this.”

FOX: "We do not have evidence that he was waving a gun or doing anything to threaten Border Patrol. He had his phone and he was viewing and recording the incident." Rep. James Comer: "They got all these white liberals coming in trying to run over ICE, trying to spray them and do everything to disrupt…If I were President Trump I would almost think about…maybe [going] to another city and let the people of Minneapolis decide, do [they] want to continue to have all these illegals…It's very clear that a majority of Americans want the criminal illegals apprehended, and that is what ICE is trying to do."

Remember those private email servers that Hillary Clinton wiped back in the day? Well Sean Hannity and John Solomon are reporting that their sources say we might have copies of them though a foreign power. HANNITY: “My understanding, my sources… tell me that those servers, copies of them exist and that we may have them. Any truth to that?” SOLOMON: “Yeah they are looking at a foreign power that may have (them) because it was looking at a hacker back in the time when Hillary had the server, may have recovered the server. Now, they’re still validating them… but that is one of the operations that is going on in the intelligence community right now… What they’re looking for are the emails that were erased. A lot of those are believed to potentially be about the Clinton Foundation… about the grift that was going on there. And if those do get recovered, they could contribute to an ongoing criminal investigation about pay-to play politics in the Obama era.” Nothing is ever truly deleted. Sean Hannity 🇺🇸 John Solomon

Asked whether the ICE agent who shot and killed Renee Good is under investigation, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem says “we are following the exact same investigative and review process that we always have under ICE and under the Department of Homeland Security and within the administration.” Pressed on whether the Office of Professional Responsibility is doing its own probe of the ICE agent and whether any protocols were violated, Noem confirms to Margaret Brennan that is taking place, saying, “there always is” some review of officers’ actions.

I asked Governor Maura Healey Maura Healey about her letter she sent to Acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Todd Lyons and Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem @Sec_Noem “demanding” information on #Massachusetts ICE arrests. I also asked her if she thinks her continued antagonization of #DHS and #ICE leadership will get her anywhere. Healey said her demands are in the interest of “public safety” and “public welfare” and continued to push her claims that the “vast majority” of people arrested or detained by #ICE have “absolutely no criminal charges against them or criminal convictions,” while failing to recognize that being in the country illegally is in itself a crime. #Massachusetts #immigration #ILLEGALimmigrants #ICE #DHS #politics #mapoli

IBM Vice Chairman Gary Cohn breaks down the raft of corporate layoffs in recent months: “We are now in the part of the cycle where corporate America is very comfortable about replacing people.” He noted that “companies hoarded labor during and after COVID.” “So, they are downsizing their head count from hoarding to sort of a more naturalized level,” Cohn tells Margaret Brennan. “I think a lot of those numbers this week being announced were companies right-sizing themselves. In addition to that, we have seen input costs for companies go up quite dramatically, whether labor costs, commodity costs, or tariffs.”

Zohran Mamdani says he will not allow NYPD to assist ICE in NYC. When asked about ICE entering the subways, Mamdani says it’s his job to “make sure that doesn’t take place.” He says, “what New Yorkers need from a federal administration is the kind of partnership that will actually keep New Yorkers safe,” but that they “don’t need” ICE or the National Guard. So what he’s saying is he wants the federal government to send lots of your tax dollars to his city, but nothing else.

PabloReports: What do you make of ICE suspending vehicular stops? Garcia: Obviously, it’s a good announcement, but we can’t trust anything that DHS or ICE says. They have lied and lied. The idea that we should believe ICE is going to stop this practice is, I think, a bunch of BS. We’ve got to stay vigilant.
