Self sufficient? Are we going to grow more Coffee and Bananas?

Here’s what could get more expensive with Trump’s new tariffs.

Do they just think America can suddenly produce things that come from other places all around the globe? What's the end game here?

No, we don't. We really genuinely don't.

“Historic collapse”

They have no clue. Not of basic economics. How a manufacturing base works - or how long it takes. They just keep spinning us with "short-term pain." You can't spin math or basic economics. To top it off - there isn't a plan - that's the one area they are simplyfing.

We literally couldn’t get equipment during Covid because it’s made in fucking China

“We have to be self sufficient”

Another trump ass kisser.

We don’t have the ability to produce all the goods we need

What's this "we" business?

Republicans are ridiculous hypocrites. Full stop.

“Self sufficient”

“Everyone just has to be ok with beans on toast.”

Monday gonna be ugly.

Were any of these freaks tolerant of economic hardship during Biden's presidency?

So incentivize companies to come back instead of blowing up the economy. These people couldn’t make less sense if they tried. Read an Econ textbook, preferable the section on strategic advantage as it relates to labor costs.

Can't wait to see the children making my new shoes!

This is the opposite of working smarter, not harder

Buy local meat, eggs and vegetables. We will be fine

"When I grow up, I wanna work in a factory that makes blue jeans."

Sen. Sheehy’s “negative impact” take misses the bigger picture. Tariffs are a necessary reset after decades of globalist policies hollowing out American industry. The CHIPS Act proves strategic economic policy works—billions in private investment flowed back to U.S. semiconductor manufacturing once we stopped letting China undercut our producers. Self-sufficiency isn’t optional when Beijing steals IP, dumps cheap goods, and weaponizes supply chains. The short-term pain? A small price to end reliance on foreign adversaries. Real leadership means prioritizing long-term dominance over temporary convenience.

Tell that to the folks looking to retire on their 401k’s.

You don't understand basic economics.

Ummmmmm okay

Nothing but bullshit. And they know it

No we don't.

The thing that these fucking idiots don't understand is that "short-term" impact means kids and the elderly starving. It means those people that live paycheck to paycheck will be living on the streets. It's the domino effect affecting Wall st and rolling into Main st.

I thank God someone from Montana is telling us how we get a good economy, like they have in his great fucking state of fucking Montana

Fuvk you Sheehy. Tell that to ppl living paycheck to paycheck. Working 2 jobs. When my husband and I were younger we worked paycheck to paycheck and 2 jobs. Fuvk off.

I’m curious if other countries come to our aid in times of need.

The "J" in Donald J Trump stands for "Juche".

America Alone. Got it.
