Taxes are so high in California and tax revues are spent so poorly that Rep. Barbara Lee is now trying to make employers pay for the fiscal failures of CA politicians. $50 minimum wage? 😂 If you think the exodus from Cali was already bad, just wait till you see how 2024 goes.

At $50 an hour, say goodbye to mom-and-pop shops and hello to automated kiosks. Someone needs to tell the Senate candidate that when wages artificially skyrocket, so do prices. This "solution" sounds like it was cooked up in a lab with no understanding of economics.

It could lead to many poor people improving their living conditions. That’s if small businesses could actually afford it. A $50 minimum wage would likely exacerbate inflation. It would put many businesses out of business. It would create a huge spike in unemployment. It would also make more businesses move in the direction of automation.

I tried to raise the minimum wage to $15/hr. Not ONE Republican supported it. A $7.25/hr minimum wage is an absolute disgrace. Americans should not be forced to work for starvation wages. We must raise the wage to at least $17/hr.
