I have been asking some of the questions being asked here. For example; how does UoN charge 263K for Bachelor of Education while KU charges 183K for the same? How does UoN charge 441K for Civil Engineering while KU charges 336K for the same and both are accredited. Why?

Sen.Onyonka is way below the threshold of common sense. Let's be sensible enough. In 2002 we had only 7 P. Universities in kenya,in 2024 we have 69,the No.of University students in 22yrs ago was 1/8 of the current No.of university students,funding cannot be the same logically.

Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka has alleged that of the 150,000 teachers President Ruto keeps claiming he has employed, only 50,000 are on the TSC payroll. You need to have a good education system, and I believe that 👉 Education should not be extremely expensive. 👉 Education should not be fully privatised. There can be private schools and colleges, but there is a role for good-quality government education, and for that, the government has to put money into the budget for education. So that’s the first thing. The second thing is that you have to create an atmosphere where jobs are being generated - not just jobs in the service industry and the IT industry, but also jobs in manufacturing and small and medium industries - so that they can help in the development of the country and young boys and girls can get jobs here. While others are signing autocracy into law, President Hakainde Hichilema has today entrenched the right to education into the echelons of the Zambian constitution and stated that no person in the future should be able to reverse that right. He also argued that free education will not compromise the quality of education if implemented properly. Here is a leader who has defined his legacy and helped all children of Zambia to gain access to free primary and secondary education.

SCHOOL RENOVATION/ ESTABLISHMENT OF SECONDARY SCHOOL SECTION I carried out an inspection visit to ODIA PRIMARY SCHOOL (EVBODIA) in Iyekogba, Edo State to assess the ongoing renovation and construction works. This project covers the renovation of two blocks of 12 classrooms, the construction of an additional block of 6 classrooms, the building of a perimeter fence, as well as the installation of a borehole and toilet facilities. I am impressed with the work done so far, and it is evident that the project is near completion. Also with the help of the Edo State Ministry of Education, my formal request for the inclusion of a secondary school section in the school was approved. With this development, the school has now been upgraded to host a Junior Secondary section, making it the FIRST SECONDARY SCHOOL within the entire district of over 40 communities. Hence the school will now be known as ODIA PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL. I sincerely appreciate the State Ministry of Education and the Commissioner of Education for the timely approval. This is a great step forward for Iyekogba and the surrounding communities, and this further strengthens our commitment to improving access to quality education and modern infrastructure for all our children in Oredo.
