I think mainstream media MUST REFRAIN from glorifying these cretins and instead focus on the victims. No wonder there are people who are still being misled because of “news coverage” like this.

‘KUNG ITO AY NAAANGKOP SA PANGULO, DAPAT DIN ITONG ILABAN SA VICE PRESIDENT’ WATCH: Sen. Robin Padilla argued that the same principle of immunity from suit afforded to a sitting President should also apply to the Vice President, following the issuance of an arrest warrant against VP Sara Duterte on her grave threats case. Padilla asked the Senate to clarify its position on whether a sitting Vice President may face a criminal case while still in office, citing her status as an impeachable officer. The Senate leadership did not respond to Padilla’s manifestation and proceeded with the reference of business during the session. | via Hannah Ty, Bilyonaryo News

THE SMOKING GUN?! For the last 10 years, former Senator Antonio Trillanes has accused former President Rodrigo Duterte and VP Sara Duterte of keeping a bank account with cash transactions of P2.4B. In 2016, Trillanes filed a plunder case against Duterte. No one listened to him. Duterte won for President. 10 years later, Trillanes carries on but legislators seem to be listening. Will this be enough to impeach the Vice President? Trillanes sadly admits, “justice in the Philippines is weather-weather, dependent on the political climate”. It shouldn’t be, he adds and hopes the fear instilled by the former President should teach all Filipinos a lesson. FULL INTERVIEW ON ABS-CBN News Channel YT Channel

TORREON ON ROBIN PADILLA: ‘HIS FRUSTRATION WITH POLITICS IS GENUINE’ Atty. Israelito Torreon said Sen. Robin Padilla is genuinely frustrated with the political system, even as he stopped short of guaranteeing that the senator will not seek office again. Torreon said there are moments in life that can make a person reconsider their path and described Padilla as being at such a crossroads. He added that while he does not know whether Padilla will ultimately decide not to run, he can assure that the senator means what he says about his frustration. The discussion came after Atty. Jess Falcis challenged Padilla to keep his word if he decides to step away from politics, while Atty. Jimmy Bondoc agreed with Falcis’ remarks. 'BATO'S BFF' PADILLA ON 'WANTED' SENATOR HOLING UP IN SENATE WATCH: An old video of Sen. Robin Padilla criticizing former senator Antonio Trillanes IV for staying inside the Senate to avoid arrest has resurfaced amid the pending arrest warrant against Senator Ronald dela Rosa before the International Criminal Court. In the video, Padilla urged Trillanes to submit to authorities and comply with the law if a warrant had indeed been issued, saying the Senate should not be used as a hiding place. Now, Dela Rosa, a close ally of Padilla, has sought protection from fellow senators to prevent his arrest as an indirect co-perpetrator in the crimes against humanity case linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war. Dela Rosa even joked that he might stay at the Senate to save on gasoline expenses, saying, “Kung dito ako titira, mas maganda.”
