It's not necessarily a category like drones or automotive... People are making nuts and bolts here again. Stuff like that has been offshored for way too long." "What we're seeing now is just dead simple stuff that is going into OEM components. Once we get that base, then you can add complexity as we go."

Testing out version 2 of our system, with two robots on independent carriages co-operating to carry out assembly tasks. This was manually programmed to gut-check the approach (learning: we're redesigning our gripper to prevent arc blow... Jim Belosic (SendCutSend) will be getting more business from us soon). The next step is to build the same part using internal software (e.g. no programming, 100% driven by the model) that plans everything from sequencing to weld paths and 7DOF robot kinematics. It’s a hard software problem, but once perfected will allow us to build at blazing speed.

.Vast is on a mission to replace the International Space Station, and we went to Long Beach, Calif. to check out its operations. The company is racing to get to space in 2027 with Haven-1, which will have room for four people. We saw its manufacturing operations, food labs, the whole Haven-1 design. It was an awesome trip! This is what helps build our manufacturing might and makes us stronger. I know we have no shortage of talent here. Need some players who can build and are in it for the long haul. Stop chasing those low-hanging, ultra-competitive fruits. I should be able to do this on your software:
