Absolute humiliation for the Pentagon. A former 82nd Airborne Commander admits that sending 7,000 troops to Iran is a complete suicide mission. He reveals they canceled a similar drop in 1979 because they knew they would be completely massacred by Iranian forces.

Absolute humiliation for the Pentagon. Sending 10,000 light infantry troops to Iran is a total joke. US bases are already destroyed and evacuated. The troops have nowhere to land and will be sitting ducks for Iranian missiles. Total military incompetence.

UChicago's Robert A. Pape: "If you're going to take the Strait of Hormuz back, you're going to have to control an over 100 mile stretch by 20 miles deep into Iran... That would be 100,000+ troops just for this footprint... We don't have the troops to occupy Iran."

Roberts: Would you support U.S. Troops going into Nigeria? Tuberville: You bet I would. It wouldn't be like going into Russia, China, North Korea, or Iran. This would be helping innocent people who could take back over the country.

President Trump on Saturday left open the possibility of sending ground troops into Iran if it were for a "very good reason." "I would say if we ever did that, they would be so decimated that they wouldn’t be able to fight at the ground level," the president told reporters aboard Air Force One.
