🚨SENEDD REJECTS GROOMING GANG PROBE🚨 Reform's Paul Marr harrowingly revealed his daughter was raped as he introduced a motion calling on the Government to ensure Wales is investigated by the Grooming Gangs Inquiry at the earliest opportunity. Plaid and Labour voted it down.

Why would @WelshLabour and @Plaid_Cymru vote down and enquiry - got things to hide?

I think we know by now the left are more interested in grooming children than protecting them from abuse.

There is something much bigger going on here that us mere mortals can get our heads around . It’s a big worry that they just don’t seem to want to serve and protect the electorate

Wales' Senedd has no role in investigating grooming gangs or any other criminal activities in Wales because all authority for policing lies with the Home Secretary in London. I sympathise with Mr Marr, but what action does he expect the Welsh Government to take?

He made a specific point about failures of institutions including local councils, which are within the Senedd’s remit. They cannot avoid responsibility for this.

So why not wait for the recommendations of the UK enquiry and then act on its recommendations where there are institutions under the Senedd's remit? Reform instead are turning it into political point scoring.

I sympathise with Paul Marr's harrowing experience but Russian funded, corrupt, sleazy Reform UK is playing politics again. Wales is already in the UK inquiry’s scope and the priority is ensuring Welsh cases are properly examined rather than creating a duplicate inquiry.

Whilst this was outside the Senedd 's remit, Paul Marr highlighted institutional failures. The Senedd however has overall control of local authorities and they must ensure that they cannot neglect responsibilities to the electorate
