Senior cat has dementia 🥺

We have a senior dog with similar issues. She's a bit deaf, and doesn't see so well. She needs one of us, usually me, as a touchstone. She's 15 now, and we just do what we can to make her happy.

Now cats have dementia? Gabapentin..research long term effects. How do people think animals survive in the wild..yes even feral cats?

It is rough my late cat had dementia, diabetes, and started having seizures. He was very happy till the end but once he lost control of his bladder I knew it was time.

My 18 year old senior cat does this when I go to sleep I have to call her name so she can find me and then get into bed with me 😢

Sometimes I also wander into rooms and forget what I came for

My friend has cat Alzheimer’s. It’s hard to watch. He keeps licking his own nuts, meowing, he has that far away look in his eyes.

Mickey was 20+ years old when I lost him. His last few years he had dementia. Sometimes he would just sit and stare at a corner. Soon as I noticed him doing it, I would talk to him and hold him. It seemed to help.
