They say “America has no culture” and what they mean is that the Constitution and Bill of Rights, English common law, the language itself, Thanksgiving and the 4th of July, the nuclear family, the work ethic, rock n roll, country, plus every innovation that turned this place into the world’s superpower don’t count as real culture. It’s just “whiteness,” this blank or oppressive thing that exists only to be critiqued and replaced. And this line has become so dominant, so institutionalized in schools, media, HR departments, and elite culture that it’s now the standard water everybody swims in. Most people don’t even clock it anymore because it’s treated like obvious truth instead of the radical self-erasure project it actually is. But this isn’t a good faith argument at all, and it carries clear ulterior motives to justify the erasure of America’s historic core and the people who built it. Because once you get Americans to accept that their culture is either nonexistent or evil, then mass demographic change, open borders, and tearing down the old traditions suddenly look like moral progress instead of an existential attack on everything that made the country function in the first place. The reality though is that America has one of the strongest and most distinctive cultures on earth, forged from Western and Christian roots and supercharged by liberty and merit. And the World Cup visitors are reminding us of exactly that right now. Germans are going viral saying if you want to hate America watch the news but drive through it and meet the actual people. Europeans are shocked by how genuinely warm, friendly, and generous Americans are in real life and can’t stop talking about the hospitality and customer service. Japanese fans are writing poetry about unlimited free chips and salsa, while others are losing it over Texas brisket, ranch dressing on everything, Waffle House at 2 am, Buc-ee’s, the ridiculous size of Walmart, and free drink refills that never end. These outsiders are cutting straight through the institutionalized narrative and showing us what we’ve been gaslit into taking for granted, and that is an abundant, open, high trust, high energy culture that actually works. Americans built it, they live it every day, and they are not apologizing for it or handing it over.

When I was in high school (20 years ago! 🤯), a song that really resonated with me while I was sitting alone on the bus was “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World. A part of me loved it as a pop punk banger. And a part of me resented it for the lies it told. “Hey, don’t write yourself off yet. It’s just in your head you feel left out Or looked down on.” Screw you, Mr. Eat World! You don’t know me! I didn’t really find that community in high school—there were amazing humans, but I wasn’t comfortable enough with myself to connect genuinely with anything but sports. In football, I could play a confident main character. “Just do your best. Do everything you can.” I tried in college. But going to New York City from the country was hard. I was making my way solo—A lone wolf that felt rejected by the pack, but maybe just didn’t try hard enough to find a pack in the first place. Then I found running. And in running, I found a group of people who wanted to wake up at the butt-crack of dawn to do things that often hurt. People who shared a strange obsession that required a wild amount of grit. People who showed up and embraced the silliness of it all. People who often felt strange and accepted others who felt the same way. I love the people in this sport. I wish I could show younger me this video of a finish line kiss, celebrating with a ton of fellow runners. That whole time growing up, I was just in the middle of the ride, thinking my story was already written. If you are out there feeling like that, as Jimmy said, know that everything will be alright, alright. Running, at its core, is about love and acceptance for everyone, especially people who feel different. Through running, I found my people. I found my person. I wish I could go back in time and tell 16-year old me what I’m telling you now: You will too 🧡

I’m still riding the high from today. The Tulsa Oilers Jewish Heritage Game was incredible. It was one of those rare moments that makes you feel like you’re watching the American promise actually happen in real time. Because what happened in that arena was simple, and it was enormous. We lived openly and proudly as Jews. In public. In our city. With joy. With confidence. With thousands of our neighbors cheering alongside us. There are moments lately when Jews are reminded, sometimes subtly, sometimes not, that we’re “supposed” to keep it down. Don’t be too visible. Don’t be too proud. Don’t ask for too much. Today was the opposite of that. Today was: we’re here. Today was: we belong. Today was: we’re proud. I looked around that arena and felt my chest tighten from emotion. That blue jersey with the Magen David. And we didn’t just have a fun night, we made history. This is the first time Jewish Heritage Game jerseys have been worn in a professional sports game. Think about that. In Tulsa. In 2026. With a packed arena. With our neighbors joining in. With Jewish pride celebrated. And what moved me most was this. It wasn’t only Jews wearing it. So many of our non-Jewish neighbors wore it too. If you’re Jewish, you know that’s not just “nice.” That’s deeply meaningful. The Magen David carries memory. It carries history. It carries everything our people have walked through. To see it worn proudly, by people who simply wanted to say, “We’re with you. You belong here,” was a kind of decency that restores your faith in people. That’s Tulsa. And it’s also America at its best. A country where you don’t have to erase yourself to belong, where identity isn’t a liability, where you can be fully who you are and still be fully part of the “we.” I’m proud of Jewish Tulsa. Proud of how our community showed up, joyful, confident, unafraid to celebrate who we are. And I’m proud of this city. Proud of the Tulsa Oilers organization for doing this with excellence and heart. Proud of Tulsa for showing up and making it real. Our identity is something we receive, carry, and hand to our kids stronger than we found it. Today that felt real and tangible. So yes, the game was incredible. But what I’ll remember is the feeling. Proud to be Jews. Proud to be Americans. Proud to be Tulsans. A huge thank you to Michael A. Been building this little brand for almost three years now with Grant Eastey and Ejay ODonnell. That’s my wife and I packing our first orders in our tiny garage that couldn’t even fit a car. But in the end the garage found its purpose. There’s something special about just going for it. We just wanted to make some hats for dads that we didn’t see out there for ourselves. Everything else was dad bod humor, mowing the lawn, ugly sneakers, etc. Being a dad is so much more than that. Being a dad really isn’t any of that funny stuff. That’s just the weird brand social media has given us. We’re about to cross half a million hats sold soon and still see ourselves in that tiny garage. Just trying things. Seeing what happens and doubling down if it works. The brand has become so much more than we ever imagined. I don’t enjoy the notion of becoming a “DTC brand”, just become a brand. Become a community and movement. You should see the notes we get from customers saying our hat helped them become better parents, our hat helped them keep trying to have children, our hat brought their kids joy when their dad passed away, our hat showed up and changed the life of someone deciding if they wanted to go on. I don’t care about the metrics. Obsession over CAC and ROAS won’t create this. Building something with meaning is so beyond any of the acronyms we see here on a regular basis. At the end of the day it’s all about trying. You just need to try. It’s as simple as that. I used to think there’s so much to risk by trying. At the end of the day it’s usually ego or fear. And two things are true. Ego decisions are solely based on your perception of what you’ll look like to others, which will never matter in the end. The second thing is fear. Fear usually only lives within YOU. Nowhere else. You make it up and decide how to act from it. Greatness is on the other side of fear. There’s no pressure over here. I was born into project buildings in Poland. “Making it” happened long before the brand started. Making it was getting out of Poland and into the US at the age of 7. On our pod yesterday Nate Lagos📈 asked me why I even stay on X when having a successful brand. The answer is simple. I personally want to give away as much free game as possible. I don’t know it all, not even close. But I want to help others break through and get their ideas into motion. Everyone is charging for courses and slack access. I get it, but it’s not how I care to move. There’s plenty to go around for everyone and if I can help then I’d love to. Gate keeping is weird. Pass it on. Help others win. Here's a simple explanation of how nnEMFs negatively impact our health (affect anything from fertility, to hormones, to sleep etc) . We (humans) evolved amid natural low-level, unpolarized ELF/geomagnetic fields and electromagnetic frequencies such as 300GHz, 300MHz or even 60Hz that can be found in sources of nnEMFs ranging from your smartphone all the way to radars and satellites. So unlike native EMFs, which occur naturally from the earth’s magnetic field or sunlight for example, nnEMFs have frequencies, intensities and patterns that differ from those our biology evolved to handle. Some key characteristics of nnEMFs include: -They are classified by frequency (measured in hertz (Hz)) -They include extremely low frequency (ELF) fields (such as 50–60 Hz from power lines), radiofrequency (RF) fields (such as 300 kHz–300 GHz, used in mobile phones and Wi-Fi) and microwave frequencies (such as 2.45 GHz in microwaves). -They (nnEMFs) are polarized and pulsed unlike natural EMFs, which are often unpolarized and continuous. Now the seven key biological mechanisms underlying the negative effects of nnEMFs include: -Oxidative stress. nnEMFs, particularly RF fields, can increase reactive oxygen species (ROS) like superoxide or hydroxyl radicals and cause lipid peroxidation in cells, thus alterling antioxidant enzyme levels (such as superoxide dismutase) and damaging cell membranes, proteins and DNA. -Calcium channel dysregulation. nnEMFs, increase intracellular calcium through voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs). VGCCs are large protein complexes that “open” in response to electrical signals (they open when the membrane depolarizes (becomes less negative)), in order for calcium ions to enter cells (due to its concentration gradient (higher outside than inside cells)) and nnEMFs act as an external electrical stimulus. VGCCs trigger neurotransmitter release (particularly glutamate), initiate contraction in cardiac and skeletal muscle for example, eegulate hormone secretion, control gene expression, enzyme activity and apoptosis. -DNA damage. nnEMFs, may induce single- and double-strand DNA breaks, directly (through energy transfer) or indirectly (through ROS). -Melatonin suppression. This happens possibly by altering neuronal signaling or mimicking some signals of light exposure but human and animal studies show reduced melatonin levels after RFR exposure, particularly at night. -Increasing blood-brain barrier permeability. This is well documented in animal studies that show increased blood-brain barrier leakage after RFR exposure, but it’s true that human research is limited. Yet based on the 4 previous mechanisms that were just discussed this isn’t unlikely and nnEMFs probably increase permeability of endothelial cells in barriers in humans as well, probably through oxidative stress or calcium-mediated tight junction disruption. -Autonomic nervous system dysregulation. It’s documented that nnEMFs alter sympathetic and parasympathetic activity thus affecting heart rate variability and of course, animal studies show even altered neurotransmitter levels. -Disruption of cellular electrical balance. Our cells maintain a negative membrane potential (resting potential) and nnEMFs interfere with ion channels altering membrane potential and disrupting processes like nerve signaling, muscle contraction or enzyme function. Then of course there are other ones such as heat shock protein induction for example (cell culture studies show increased HSP expression after EMF exposure, even at non-thermal levels). Now here are some practical suggestions that will help you navigate our nnEMF word better and won’t turn you into a lunatic. Number 1: Limit your exposure to them / distance yourself form them. Without this the rest of the tips won’t really help. But you don’t have to turn into a lunatic while implementing this. Leave devices you’re not using in other rooms, have your phone on airplone mode when you’re not using it/need it, ditch your air pods, close the wifi at night (big one)/when you’re not using it, spend more time in nature instead of watching netflix, don’t be on your phone for no reason, use ethernet cables and so on. Number 2: Go and ground. We carry a constant flow of electrical charge which we week to discharge and if we never do this and thus never restore and maintain the body’s natural electrical state, disease will inevitably happen. The surface of the earth, possesses a limitless and continuously renewed supply of free or mobile electrons as a consequence of a global atmospheric electric circuit. A direct earth connection enables both diurnal electrical rhythms-free electrons to flow from the earth to the body and neutralize the positively charged free radicals. *You can use grounding mats, pads etc if you also use an outlet tester. Number 3: Endogenous glutathione max Glutathione is a substance made from the amino acids glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. It is naturally produced in the cytosol (an intracellular matrix) and helps with many processes varying from detoxification, protecting the mitochondria from oxidative stress, heart health and the immune system all the way to thyroid hormone conversion. Number 4: Get enough minerals, vitamin C, E, high quality seafood. Number 5: Glutamate serves a role, but given the effects of nnEMFs on nmda it is a good idea to avoid free forms of glutamate and support GABA. A Change of Plan…🌍 A little insight into the realities of airline flying: sometimes the route you see on your flight tracker isn’t the one we originally planned. That’s because flight planning is a mix of science, safety, and flexibility. 🌐 One reason for changes is ATC flow management. Think of it like traffic lights in the sky, with thousands of aircraft moving through shared corridors, air traffic control sometimes adjusts our routes to keep the system flowing smoothly and safely. But today’s change wasn’t about traffic. It was about performance planning. Departing Delhi, our A350 was heavy with fuel and passengers, and the original routing led straight into an area of very high terrain. With a twin-engine aircraft, we always consider the “what if”: if one engine were to fail, how would the aircraft perform? Safety means ensuring we can still fly clear of terrain even under those conditions. That’s where ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operations) and drift down procedures come in. ETOPS rules let two-engine aircraft fly long oceanic and remote routes, but only with strict planning to guarantee diversion options. Drift down is the scenario where, after losing one engine, we calculate how the aircraft can descend to a level where it can safely continue flight and clear terrain. These are baked into every flight plan, and sometimes, the numbers don’t add up and they mean taking the longer way around. So today, instead of climbing northwest out of India, we turned south. The routing took us over Oman and the UAE, up the length of the Gulf, across Iraq, and back into our original track over western Turkey. That’s also where we passed one of my favourite places: the airfield named Batman 🦇. 👨‍✈️ It’s a great reminder that flying isn’t just point-to-point. Every route is carefully designed with safety, performance, and the flow of global air traffic in mind. It also means that we had a great opportunity to get some air-to-air pics of other aircraft. Here's a simple explanation of how nnEMFs negatively impact our health (affect anything from fertility, to hormones, to sleep etc) . We (humans) evolved amid natural low-level, unpolarized ELF/geomagnetic fields and electromagnetic frequencies such as 300GHz, 300MHz or even 60Hz that can be found in sources of nnEMFs ranging from your smartphone all the way to radars and satellites. So unlike native EMFs, which occur naturally from the earth’s magnetic field or sunlight for example, nnEMFs have frequencies, intensities and patterns that differ from those our biology evolved to handle. Some key characteristics of nnEMFs include: -They are classified by frequency (measured in hertz (Hz)) -They include extremely low frequency (ELF) fields (such as 50–60 Hz from power lines), radiofrequency (RF) fields (such as 300 kHz–300 GHz, used in mobile phones and Wi-Fi) and microwave frequencies (such as 2.45 GHz in microwaves). -They (nnEMFs) are polarized and pulsed unlike natural EMFs, which are often unpolarized and continuous. Now the seven key biological mechanisms underlying the negative effects of nnEMFs include: -Oxidative stress. nnEMFs, particularly RF fields, can increase reactive oxygen species (ROS) like superoxide or hydroxyl radicals and cause lipid peroxidation in cells, thus alterling antioxidant enzyme levels (such as superoxide dismutase) and damaging cell membranes, proteins and DNA. -Calcium channel dysregulation. nnEMFs, increase intracellular calcium through voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs). VGCCs are large protein complexes that “open” in response to electrical signals (they open when the membrane depolarizes (becomes less negative)), in order for calcium ions to enter cells (due to its concentration gradient (higher outside than inside cells)) and nnEMFs act as an external electrical stimulus. VGCCs trigger neurotransmitter release (particularly glutamate), initiate contraction in cardiac and skeletal muscle for example, eegulate hormone secretion, control gene expression, enzyme activity and apoptosis. -DNA damage. nnEMFs, may induce single- and double-strand DNA breaks, directly (through energy transfer) or indirectly (through ROS). -Melatonin suppression. This happens possibly by altering neuronal signaling or mimicking some signals of light exposure but human and animal studies show reduced melatonin levels after RFR exposure, particularly at night. -Increasing blood-brain barrier permeability. This is well documented in animal studies that show increased blood-brain barrier leakage after RFR exposure, but it’s true that human research is limited. Yet based on the 4 previous mechanisms that were just discussed this isn’t unlikely and nnEMFs probably increase permeability of endothelial cells in barriers in humans as well, probably through oxidative stress or calcium-mediated tight junction disruption. -Autonomic nervous system dysregulation. It’s documented that nnEMFs alter sympathetic and parasympathetic activity thus affecting heart rate variability and of course, animal studies show even altered neurotransmitter levels. -Disruption of cellular electrical balance. Our cells maintain a negative membrane potential (resting potential) and nnEMFs interfere with ion channels altering membrane potential and disrupting processes like nerve signaling, muscle contraction or enzyme function. Then of course there are other ones such as heat shock protein induction for example (cell culture studies show increased HSP expression after EMF exposure, even at non-thermal levels). Now here are some practical suggestions that will help you navigate our nnEMF word better and won’t turn you into a lunatic. Number 1: Limit your exposure to them / distance yourself form them. Without this the rest of the tips won’t really help. But you don’t have to turn into a lunatic while implementing this. Leave devices you’re not using in other rooms, have your phone on airplone mode when you’re not using it/need it, ditch your air pods, close the wifi at night (big one)/when you’re not using it, spend more time in nature instead of watching netflix, don’t be on your phone for no reason, use ethernet cables and so on. Number 2: Go and ground. We carry a constant flow of electrical charge which we week to discharge and if we never do this and thus never restore and maintain the body’s natural electrical state, disease will inevitably happen. The surface of the earth, possesses a limitless and continuously renewed supply of free or mobile electrons as a consequence of a global atmospheric electric circuit. A direct earth connection enables both diurnal electrical rhythms-free electrons to flow from the earth to the body and neutralize the positively charged free radicals. *You can use grounding mats, pads etc if you also use an outlet tester. Number 3: Endogenous glutathione max Glutathione is a substance made from the amino acids glycine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. It is naturally produced in the cytosol (an intracellular matrix) and helps with many processes varying from detoxification, protecting the mitochondria from oxidative stress, heart health and the immune system all the way to thyroid hormone conversion. Number 4: Get enough minerals, vitamin C, E, high quality seafood. Number 5: Glutamate serves a role, but given the effects of nnEMFs on nmda it is a good idea to avoid free forms of glutamate and support GABA. Number 7: Further “lower” intracellular calcium through sunlight, nutrition, supplements and taking care of your thyroid. Nutrition-wise wise you will need: -Magnesium -Vitamin K2 -Glycine -Thiamine (indirectly (CO2 prevents the accumulation of intracellular calcium)) -Vitamin E -Boron -Zinc Number 8: Do not use your electronic devices (iphone, laptop etc) while they are charging. Number 9: Rhodiola might be promising as well.
