Want to jump higher? Unpopular truth: fat don’t fly. Before you start crying about body shaming or act like this is skinnytok, let's get into our DeLoreans and revisit physics class!! Newton's 2nd Law a=F/m Same force with more mass = less acceleration which in this case = less height. Want to increase acceleration (and its byproduct jump height)? Either going to have to increase the numerator (force) or decrease the denominator (mass). That's not an opinion, it's math and science. And that math/science is on display here as you have two medballs acted upon by the same force traveling different distances due to differing mass. Now let's walk across the hall to anatomy and physiology class...yes, you need body fat. It's critical to be healthy and function. This isn't advocating for just losing weight or being "thin" or whatever. It's for optimizing body composition to where you perform at your best. With that, you need muscle mass to produce FORCE. And many younger volleyball players will benefit tremendously from an increase in muscle mass. This increase in muscle mass stands to increase force production, improve body composition, and create a net positive effect on performance (within reason we all know we're not training linebackers). But an increase in unnecessary fat mass typically has the opposite effect. Hence the statement: fat don't fly. Every athlete has an optimal body composition. Find yours through consistent strength training, adequate fueling, proper hydration and sleep and...planned recovery days.

Kitten update #8: The kitties are back home! Everyone is getting very strong and active now. I forgot to take their weights this morning so I'll have to do it before the next feeding, but I'm confident everyone is continuing to gain. We started adding in some wet food today. I mixed up a slurry with some of the formula and stuck it in a syringe with a nipple on it. Nobody took to it right away except gray tuxedo, who loved it, but everyone else got some squirted in while they were chewing on the milk nipple and then they loved it. Well, except for dark tortie, which is a little ironic since she is by far the biggest little monster of the litter, but I guess she's done so well on the formula she's not interested in making a change yet. Butts are all looking SO much better now that I stopped using the wet wipes. However, we have now started to have some concerns about little to no pooping. Dark tortie hasn't pooped for 24 hours so I eliminated the yogurt from the formula and am crossing my fingers for some action before the end of the day or back to the vet she goes. I don't know how long they'll let me play with their tummies like this but it sure is fun for now!

This statement by Morgan Wallen at is Chicago show ruffled the feathers of a lot fans back in Pittsburgh. Wallen was in Chicago playing at Soldier Field where it was raining. He says to the crowd “ I just wanna say that it is raining right now and we gonna’ play through it” and kind of chuckles. Many took that as a slight to Pittsburgh where he canceled his show due to weather concerns but which ended up being a beautiful night there when the concert would have started. A lot of fans in Pittsburgh are wondering why he didn’t “play through” there when it ended up not raining at all. 🤔 Many said they still haven’t received their refund and wondered why he wouldn’t just reschedule. Some said all they got was a promo code for a future concert. 🤯 Some of people in Chicago said they only went to see Brooks N’ Dunn, who were opening for him in Chicago and said they left after they played and didn’t stay to see Morgan. You think his comment was much to do about nothing or was he slighting Pittsburgh? Don’t you think he could make everything a whole lot easier and better if he just rescheduled the Pittsburgh show?

I fixed the most upvoted React Aria issue of all time: in the next release, you can enter "invalid" dates like February 31st, and they'll be constrained on blur instead of as you type. This is helpful for transient states, e.g. editing the day before the month. It also enabled entering other temporary values like leading zeros. As you can see in the video, previously if the month was February you couldn't change the day to anything above 28. You'd first have to change the month and then go back to the day. Now the temporary invalid state is allowed. This might seem like such a simple issue, but it was actually pretty complicated to fix. It required entirely changing the way the state is stored. JS Date and Intl.DateTimeFormat cannot store or format dates that don't exist, so we had to reimplement it from scratch. Now we use Intl.DateTimeFormat to get the order of the fields for each locale, but format the value of each segment individually with Intl.NumberFormat. Lots of edge cases to handle as well, like daylight saving time, 12/24 hour time, different calendar and numbering systems, etc. Really glad to finally fix this one though!

Official Statement about the "ENDED" GAME 8 of the $10,000 Ascendance Series tonight. We're looking into the issue that occurred. We understand this effected all 3 players on Team Orchid. - Hambino🏳️‍⚧️ - RamBeau - ROC sirsay And potentially griefed their win in this DAY 1 of the series. The team's winnings which could've been $750 if they won the game, were brought down to $300 as they placed 3rd in the event following another 2 matches. We understand that the game trigged an 'ended match by admin' screen, making it seem as if the game was ended by one of our admins, which is 100% wasn't. We know that for certain. Ivan nor MrFoxy who were the only two admins in the series ended the match. It was not done on accident or on purpose. We will look into this issue with the correct people and make another statement as soon as we get word on the issue. For the time being, we offer to reimburse the roster an additional $200 to round up the prize winnings to $500, as we understand they could have easily won Match 8, and it's not a small amount of money they missed out on. Wow. WOW. WOOOOOOOW. So um, that first Wildcard+Thousands stream was... amazing and also... a lot 😅 In the end, it was exactly what we were hoping for - a true stress test of ALL these systems coming together for the first time. We are SO grateful for the thousands of people who showed up today to play, attend, tune-in and help us PLAYTEST all this new stuff. We can't wait to see you all again at NEXT WEEK'S EX2 EVENT! So, now let's talk about how it went... Stuff that worked: - Our community SHOWED UP. Oh boy did you show up 😅. Our servers were straining under the load... which is good actually, in fact it's the whole point. Even more importantly, we have already received insanely valuable feedback, bug reports, stuff people loved/hated - and it's only been a few hours since the stream ended. I can't even explain to y'all how valuable this process is. Yes it's stressful, it reminds me of trying to keep Words With Friends online during that first insane year, but it's EXACTLY what we were hoping for (NEED) to turn this into the polished, top-notch game and streaming experience we are on a mission to deliver. I truly can't thank y'all enough, and hope to see you again when we run it all back again next week 🥹 - The stream itself stayed up and was mostly stable! Phew 😅. For context, ThousandsTV is not a twitch wrapper, it's a web3-native streaming tech stack built we built specifically to connect game, web/mobile, and blockchain together all at the same time. There are a LOT of moving pieces going on behind the scenes. - We brought viewers INTO THE GAME! Viewers showed up in the stands of the arena, with connected wallets/assets, triggered actions/rallies from chat, and were seen and heard during the whole stream. - The brand new 2v2 build of Wildcard was (mostly) stable and our players and viewers seemed to be having a blast down on the field and up in the stands. It was thrilling to watch Team Blue dominate, even though Team Red held their own in game 3! - Our production crew did an insanely good job running the stream, managing the players, shoutcasters, and talent, and producing a top-notch show. Of course we will work hard to make every stream better than the last, but I was super proud of how our team "rolled with the punches" during today's event. Stuff that didn't work (and/or needs to be dramatically improved): - Although it's fun to see chat going crazy, chat spam is actually something we are passionate to FIX. As you can see from the attached video, chat spam dominated today's stream and made it impossible for anyone to even see anyone else's messages. We have some GREAT ideas for how to fix this and actually turn chat spam into a FUN and exciting and not annoying thing - but those improvements didn't get shipped in time for this event. - Credits purchasing flow needs a LOT of work. As I'm sure y'all know, bringing money on chain is pretty complicated, and although we've been working hard to make this as seamless as possible, it still needs a TON of improvements. Many users who WANTED to spend money today weren't able to and/or ran into frustrating bugs in the credit purchase flow. Fixing this is obviously a top priority for our team. - Rallies need a LOT of work. Spectator-interactive features like rallies are at the heart of our vision for Wildcard. These "stream apps", as we call them, are the UNLOCK for how spectators, viewers and fans directly connect and interact with their favorite competitors, content creators, and communities. The current rally feature HINTS at this potential, but it needs to be WAY easier to understand, use, and have fun with. Improvements are ON THE WAY. - Referees were only partially working. Referees are a key innovation of the Thousands platform. They are AI-driven "personalities" (NPCs) that pay attention to everything that's happening in the arena, both on the field and especially in the stands (i.e. in chat, during rallies, etc.) The referees then make "calls" at the end of every match, rewarding users for their engagement and participation. Unfortunately, the referees weren't fully functional and seemed to drop the ball on recognizing everyone's contributions (especially people who showed up holding valuable assets such as Wildpasses in their wallets, and people who boosted those rallies with credits.) What's happening next: 1. We are combing through ALL the logs from the event right now, to make sure we don't miss a SINGLE action that our viewers and fans took during the event, including what they brought in their wallets (i.e. Wildpass holders!), any credits that were purchased, rallies that users engaged with, etc. This information is normally processed by our referees, who then determine dynamically how they're going to distribute $WC awards. We were originally hoping to complete this process and the subsequent airdrops within a few hours after the event, but given the amount of data, we need a bit more time to run these scripts (and airdrops) in batches instead of all at once, and make sure ALL of the data is being included. IMPORTANT: I will keep y'all updated in real-time here on twitter/X as this process is ongoing, and let you know the moment it's complete and all the awards have been distributed (i.e. when to go check your wallets 😎) 2. PLEASE keep sending us your feedback and bug reports. Open a ticket on our Discord and let us know what you loved, what you hated, and especially what we need to FIX. Given the overwhelming response to this event, it will likely take us several days to process everyone's feedback and fix all the bugs, but we WILL NOT REST until every ticket is closed/resolved. This is the difference between the ELITE & the recreational player The recreational golfer is likely putting this or hitting a bump & run with a 7 iron, or even a 4 iron... Now, while this option COULD get the ball close, it's by far the harder option in this scenario The recreational golfer will play the low shot because it's "SAFE". By safe, I mean less chance to hit it fat or blade it across the green For the elite golfer, height is always easier. They usually don't have any issue achieving good contact with their short shots around the green, so in this case, Shane is able to take out all the undulations around this green & just land the ball on the green & using some spin to slow the ball down The harder shot to get the ball close here would be a shot that is running on the ground. There's too much undulation & the ball could hit a ton of bumps along the way which will affect distance control Any shot is possible to hit here... But there's typically a shot where you can get it close more often than not. It's about identifying what that shot is & having the skills to play it

When people ask me why I don't deal with alotta people..I bring up situations like this.. I hosted a live event with 4 (Dalvin Cook) last year to give FSU fans something dope after a rough season I let the Jax Seminoles club be a part of it (even though I didn't need them to make it happen)..could've gotten 4 on my show regardless, I just like showing love That being said, my goal is to do more live events where I get to celebrate FSU legends, and alum..highlighting their careers, businesses, etc..of course I'll do events that aren't related to FSU as well During the process one of the people involved on the process tried to backdoor me for some 💰(ahh silly rabbit) It was dumb to me, because it wasn't a crazy amount of money, and it wasn't worth messing up a relationship..folks be thirsty tho..and I'm big on principle You ain't gonna eat off of me (especially in a situation when I don't need you and I'm looking out) and then try to finess too lol.. I was sent this video of them taking all the credit for the event that wouldn't have happened without Trials To Triumph, and they tried to zoom in and crop me out of the video lol People will move dirty then play victim and be mad at you for calling them out on it lol..I wasn't the only one upset..my sponsors were upset, and didn't wanna do business with the person from the club anymore I'm sure that this is not a reflection of everybody involved with the club..not a smart way to treat alum though This is also a good lesson for someone else who may be going through situations where people try to play with you, lie on your name, or steal from you..sitting there and be quiet will only make the issue worse in the long run..use your voice and speak up, otherwise you're responsible for the other people later down the line that end up with the same experience that could've been avoided if they were made aware early on That being said, while folks were trying to finesse, we were locking in deals with national brands, and will be hosting a lot more events this year..I definitely wanna put something special together in the spring and before the season for FSU fans Full episode with Dalvin Cook is on YouTube, and we have a Huge episode dropping with Derrick Brooks tomorrow as well‼️ Stay 💯

I'm still in Busan, spending a quality time with my family here. I was unsuccessful in securing tickets for either day for Busan concert even though I tired till the end on Nol World queue and I needed some time to gather my thoughts and sort through my emotions😢 Tbh I felt really sad and helpless. But now that I think about it, this experience gave me a whole new perspective in a way.. I was roaming around outside of the stadium and found a spot where many neighborhood residents were gathered along with some Armys. We chanted and sang together too. The spot I found happened to be on a hill where a walking trail was connected. So, many locals who were passing by stopped to join and cheered together. Whenever Jin's face appeared on the screen, I couldn't help but notice even locals blurting out in excitement 'OMG, he's insanely handsome!' I am not gonna lie...I was really disappointed and disheartened before the concert as this ticketing and camping all day long experience in Nol Wolrd felt so out of my control.. But it is what it is and I guess that was as far as my luck in Busan would take me. At the end of the day, I'm still grateful that I was able to share the same space (in a way 😅) and be part of the experience with Seokjin on top of seeing my family here in Busan again this time of the year.
