honestly the entire dinner scene and everything leading up to & following this was just straight up some of the best 20 mins i’ve seen in any horror movie lately, every shot had me on edge the entire time and i never get tired of rewatching it

easily one of the best of all time for me. I must've watched it 10+ times already by now

frrr what an instant classic

@TheCineMoments None of this is good

@TheCineMoments

@Perphected @TheCineMoments Lol yeah we will be watching thst scene of her running over couches for years ...

@Perphected @TheCineMoments is that supposed to make it sound boring like it’s not just 20 seconds of a 3 minute sequence 💀

Watching people enjoy the backrooms movie digitally when it’s not out in my area yet

omg I'm so sorry to hear this 😭

This is soo dreamcore

Yup. That's one of the many reasons why it's so incredible

And scary.

After the fantastic dinner table scene and the reveal... chef's kiss 🤌🏻

couldn't have done it better

Agreed. Sound design is impeccable and really elevates every moment.

The Final Shot takes the cake for me

Kleine tip voor in de film het had spannend geweest als het monster haar ene been greep toen ze omhoog klom en dan pas haar late ontsnappe. Kleine twist groot impact in gevoel!

agreed

♥️

was on the edge of my seat in the theater. i love that i get to see it in HD now!!

it deserves multiple viewings. Its that good! There are so many details you usually don't notice on the first watch that make much more sense on a rewatch

idk why it just guts me to see clarks corpse be dragged out like that.

While the VFX clearly take center stage here - the almost vocal like slide sounds on this haunt me man. Insane sound production.

He ripped off Clark’s leg

Is this the backrooms?

Yes

Ty

This is the only clip of the backrooms I've seen and it made me lose any interest in seeing the movie, the pacing is so so slow. If a person trips and limps away from the big bad in a horror movie it completely loses me. what happens next does she fumble with keys?

How the hell do you have this in HQ???

it came out on digital today

Thanks

I've seen this movie 5 times in the cinema now, and every time we get to Clark's voicemail message I get right on the edge of my seat because I know the next hour is going to be fucking insane

The funniest thing to me is that all this liminal Backrooms business began with a simple photograph of a furniture shop in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I have relatives in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and I always like to remind them that the rest of the world thinks, where they live is a nightmare. I mean, it’s not. But I still tell them that anyway. 😂😂🤣

Can my childhood demon leave me and my conciousness alone ? Please!!?

Ain’t no way dis bih hurt her leg from falling on a couch less lone fall

this sequence had me tweaking won’t lie, captain clark felt like a titan.

Fucking gem

How the fuck u get hurt on a couch

akala ko ba pangit to 😭 bakit mukhang maganda naman

The memory palace of a broken architect.

in the theatre i kept remembering every 10 seconds that’s she’s going deeper and deeper and will never get out and it gave me one of the most dreadful feelings ive ever had watching a movie 😭

I just can’t stop noticing it these days. Why is everything shot with the subject center frame? It’s like it’s all intended to be viewed cropped via a phone screen.

my ass would've fell id be too panicked to even think about whats on the other side 😭😭 this is scary ash

It was much better than Obsession. But making it an hour and a half long movie felt a bit wasteful like it could've been a 5 season long series or something.

rewatching this and realizing the still life song plays

My ears perked up like a lil doggie when I heard the still life theme in the background (I don’t think I heard that in theatres tho)

DAMN! WHAT A SEQUENCE!

The green light going off in the room where she runs by, great mention of the YouTube series there.

Where can I watch this? It is amazing!

I think it's available on both amazon prime and apple tv

This sequence is genuinely masterful. The way it builds unbearable tension from the dinner scene and then explodes into that disorienting, larger-than-life space is peak horror filmmaking. Every frame feels intentional and nerve-wracking. Easily one of the best things I've seen in the genre lately.

Yup
