Mladić commanded the Bosnian Serb army in the 1992–95 war. The UN court in The Hague sentenced him to life for genocide at Srebrenica — more than 8,000 Bosniak men and boys killed in July 1995 — and for the siege of Sarajevo. He died last week in the UN cell in The Hague. Plenković also named killings on Croatian ground: Škabrnja and other sites, from the period when Mladić operated out of Knin. Belgrade’s line is different. Justice Minister Nenad Vujić said a general is buried by protocol.
