If these individuals really were ‘enemy combatants,’ legally so, then you would have no reason nor would you have any incentive to repatriate them. You’d want to bring them back and put them through the court system here in the United States and have due process visited upon them if they are in fact enemy combatants. They didn’t do that — sort of makes me wonder whether they think they have much of a case, whether they don’t want this to happen inside the U.S. court system.”
