Plex used to be good, now - sells your watch history - prioritizes their own content over yours - decreasing features, increasing price - dropped audio support from main client - had one of the worst UI updates Ive ever seen - slow - etc, etc Skip the frustration. Use Jellyfin.

Highly suggest not using Plex anymore, they are worse. Jellyfin is a good one now.

Plex is okay if you're okay with spending a little bit of money on a subscription plan, but if you just want to spend money on hardware and not pay a subscription go with jellyfin and just make sure to set it up properly, also you can automate it in so many ways

I haven't watch Netflix since the end of the first Castlevania series.

I've had my plex server for over 4 years now. Purchased a cheap Lenovo corporate mini pc. An 8tb hard drive, and filled it to the brim with "legal" content. Haven't paid for streaming ever since.

Sorry. When NetFlix showed a tendency to show anything that might refer to child-badstuff, they lost me. I don't think any of us should support them in any way. To my way of seeing things, and I'm rigid, I know, I ask you not support them. Try Tubi or elsewhere.

Plex is garbage - they threw users under the bus with the interface change and told us they don't care - we're stuck with it. Lifetime plex pass? your voice is just as worthless as everyone else's. That was a waste of money. I switched to Jellyfin.
