I love how Andor made a single TIE fighter feel genuinely terrifying. We’ve watched hundreds of these things get blown out of the sky in Star Wars. For a few seconds here, you actually understand how frightening the Empire’s military would be to the average person. All that from one TIE fighter.

Die, rebel scum! Star Wars: Tie Fighter (LucasArts, 1994) was the sequel to Star Wars: X-Wing and exceeded it in every aspect! It was the first Star Wars game to let you play as the Empire, as a force of order against those pesky rebels! Joining the Dark Side was simply badass (and honestly more fun). Getting that tattoo lasered on to your arm, epic. Hearing the original laser and blaster sounds, absolute nerd chills. Requiring not just a steady hand to gun down enemy fighters and capital ships, but also having to manage and toggle energy between weapons, engines, and shields, Tie Fighter had the perfect blend of epic battles, mission briefings and debriefings, and last but not least truly excellent cutscenes. Computer Gaming World, GameSpot, and IGN all inducted it into the Hall of Fame - for good reason. Tie Fighter was a masterclass from LucasArts and a real rival to the Wing Commander franchise.

I think one of the best examples in this cutscene. When he was told that it was himself who was able to stay strong when in the Werehog form, he was surprised. He just sees himself as a guy who loves adventure. It’s why he’s not one to show off and criticize.

Still find it awesome that the vinyl release of John Williams’ score for The Force Awakens had etchings in the record that, when light shined down on it, projected a ‘hologram’ of a TIE Fighter and the Millennium Falcon. Such a fun detail, wish more Star Wars records did this!

Tragic news from Nazca. A small Cessna plane that was flying over the famous Nazca lines crashed today. None of the 11 passengers and 2 pilots on board survived. The passengers were tourists from Germany, Spain and Italy. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened.

Seriously some of the best Star Wars we’ve ever gotten. Just as incredible to rewatch as it was to view for the first time back in 2022. ANDOR deserved every single awarded it was nominated for/won. And it deserved even more.

Dominik Mysterio reveals his teachers were legitimately concerned after he was involved in the iconic custody match between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero: "I was terrified. I was nervous. I had no idea what was going on... As an 8-year-old kid, the reactions that you're getting from the crowd. It's insane. I didn't think I was the shit. I hated it because no one understood what was going on, and the teachers thought that I genuinely had issues at home. They would call my parents in, and my parents would have to explain to them that this was just a storyline. So my parents had to go in and talk to the teachers, and even some of the students were like, 'You don't have a dad.' It was definitely a situation."
