“Seth Rogen as Launchpad McQuack”

Funny thing is that you cut the part where they actually do the recording, show it to Katzenberg and then after realizing it wouldn't work he's like "yeah you're right, we're keeping Bill Farmer".

Well, yeah. I specifically cut that out because there is no changing this. They are indeed going to use Seth Rogen as Launchpad. This isn’t a good timeline here this is what actually happened.

Its not even that bad of a casting

i mean, there was already a highly successful 3 season series with an SNL cast member as him. though i question if seth rogen himself is a good fit, a celebrity va isn’t surprising.

I can honestly see the vision for Seth Rogen as Launchpad. I just need him to have a voice direction rather than do his own voice.

I mean, without Rogen, we might not even have this Darkwing reboot. Kind of okay with him voicing Launchpad.

Seth Rogan in interviews has said he doesn't do voices. Like he doesn't even try. He just talks. Even if I didn't loathe him with every fiber of my being, it's a failure on the casting director to hire someone who has no creativity at all.

At least they got someone that cares about animation and underused IPs to be part of the cast instead of some celebrity doing it for a quick check

I hate how Rogen just inserts himself into things. If you want to work on a show, fine. You don't always have to be a self-insert. Beck Bennett from 2017 DuckTales was a perfect Launchpad McQuack. Not sure I want the voice of Donkey Kong for him. And I didn't mind Rogen as DK.

Do I like the casting? Not really but if I can recall this show is being helped by point grey the studio that Seth Rogen is heavily involved in and a lot of the other stuff that it’s involved with has Seth playing a character whether it being one of the main characters or support
