Hip-hop origins are from the Black American experience. Why is it so hard to give respect solely to Black Americans for creating a multi-billion dollar culture?

I can’t believe these other ethnic groups got so comfortable they thought they could claim hip hop. That’s mind-boggling.

I remember watching the Nicholas Brothers with my mother and I remember them doing all of those dances with tap dancing shoes so where did we learn this from any other community that weren't doing this prior to us. The receipts are indisputable.

Tell me one thing a Puerto Rican & a Jamaican created in hip hop that they did NOT see a Foundational Black American doing & then copied it. I'll wait. Show it on video & name the guy who created it. #derrickcolon
