Totally agree with you Muzaffar sahab, this is a disaster in the making. The irony will be that with so much fertile land we will be totally dependent on import of basic food products. There has to be a balance somewhere between development and protecting our resources specifically agriculture land.

@OmarAbdullah @Shahmiri_ To Meet the demand of growing population we must explore vertical housing rather traditional horizontal. Urban areas are cooked, inflated prices of land forces majority to relocate to cheaper areas. Govt have to find a way BTW shrinking land and growing population.

ANOTHER MILESTONE. Phase-1 of Srinagar Ring Road (Pampore-Narbal-Gabderbal) bypassing the capital city of Srinagar, is now nearing completion. This Phase-1 of the Srinagar Ring Road, which was for the first time approved and announced by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on 25 September 2012 and later fully funded and executed by the National Highways NHAI , will reduce the cumbersome passage of 90-minutes from Pampore to Narbal, to a smooth 30-minute cruise through Chadoura, Ichigam, Budgam, Wadwan. It's a 15-minute drive from Budgam to Pampore but still not operational due to minor incompletions. Main credit for its completion goes to the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari. Work on Phase-2 from Narbal to Ganderbal is beginning soon.

One thing you cannot take away from Governor Bago is his keen attention to detail. This morning in Bida, a mini presentation was made to him by the State Ministry of Lands and Fyntech Consult on the land use plan for the Bida Ring Road, which will have no fewer than 70,000 plots of land. The primary presentation with Bida stakeholders is scheduled to take place soon. After this, the Governor proceeded with his activities in Bida and Gbako as part of his statewide project tour.

Our CM Omar sahab knows that both the countries have come back from the brink of war and America had to intervene.
