Israeli settlers launched coordinated attacks across several Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank, setting homes and farmland ON FIRE and opening fire on residents. In Tell, west of Nablus, Farouk Ramadan seized a loaded weapon from a settler during a confrontation and OPENED FIRE in self-defense before he was KILLED alongside 3 members of his family. “Jews have a right to everything before Arabs in this country,” an IDF soldier told Palestinians while blocking access to their own olive grove. Settlers, however, were allowed to stay. At least 14 Palestinians were wounded, and at least 7 were detained over the weekend. This is the second weekend of the olive harvest in the West Bank. For 80,000 to 100,000 Palestinian families, it provides a major of income. And for that very reason, the harvest is heavily targeted by settler terrorists and the IDF. In many areas of the West Bank, mostly near settlements, Palestinians are forced to obtain an IDF permit to reach their groves. The military often severely restricts access or denies it outright. Where permits aren’t required, settlers attack harvesters, and the IDF then comes in to back them up. Near Birzeit, a group of Palestinians and Rabbis for Human Rights activists came to harvest, only to be attacked with clubs by settler terrorists who had broken into the grove. The activists called the IDF, which allowed the terrorists to stay, but detained a Palestinian farmer and ordered all the harvesters to leave. Last week, the IDF explicitly warned olive grove owners that they would not be allowed to harvest their olives if solidarity activists were present. This is only one example of how settlers, terrorists, and the IDF work together to prevent Palestinians from harvesting their olives. Since the harvest began, Yesh Din ييش دين יש דין has documented at least 109 incidents of settler violence directly related to the harvest in 75 localities across the West Bank. Settler terror, however, is only the tip of the iceberg. It is the IDF that plays the central role. The IDF not only protects settler terrorists, sometimes even as they steal olives or attack Palestinians right before soldiers’ eyes. It also maintains a permit system that makes harvesting nearly impossible for tens of thousands of Palestinian farmers. Attacks on the olive harvest are part of Israel’s broader policies of ethnic cleansing and annexation in the West Bank. This Is My Father’s House in the West Bank This is my father’s house, built two years ago on our family’s land in the village of Turmusaya, near Ramallah in the West Bank. Shortly after construction was completed, Israeli settlers began establishing nearby outposts, a well-documented tactic used to intimidate Palestinians, restrict access to their land, and ultimately pave the way for land seizure. Our family owns five dunams here and has farmed this land for generations. Despite the land being classified as Area A and Area B, it was suddenly declared a closed military zone, and we were barred from accessing our own property.

Von der Leyen: "The deep suffering in Gaza and unchecked settler violence in the West Bank have deeply affected Europeans. The Israeli government's decision to advance the illegal E1 settlement project is unacceptable." The E1 project would build on a strip of the occupied West Bank that basically cuts the territory in two, breaking up any future Palestinian state. The EU and more than a dozen allies condemned it when the construction tenders were published. The harder question is what follows the words. Von der Leyen floated sanctions and a partial suspension of the EU-Israel trade agreement a year ago, and in very typical EU fashion, most of it is still stuck between member states that can't agree. Israeli forces have been bombing south Lebanon all morning. Last night, they conducted another massive civilian home and infrastructure detonation in the town of Haddatha. This is an act of genocide. Genocide is defined under Article Il of the 1948 UN Genocide Convention as any act committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. One of the five acts is “deliberately imposing destructive life conditions.” More than 65 towns and villages in Lebanon are still under Israeli occupation and are undergoing daily illegal civilian home and infrastructure demolition.

This has got to be one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen coming from Harvard. More than 30 Harvard University student organizations are holding Israel “entirely responsible” for the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel: Joint Statement by Harvard Palestine Solidarity Groups on the Situation in Palestine "We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence. Today's events did not occur in a vacuum. For the last two decades, millions of Palestinians in Gaza have been forced to live in an open-air prison. Israeli officials promise to "open the gates of hell," and the massacres in Gaza have already commenced. Palestinians in Gaza have no shelters for refuge and nowhere to escape. In the coming days, Palestinians will be forced to bear the full brunt of Israel's violence. The apartheid regime is the only one to blame. Israeli violence has structured every aspect of Palestinian existence for 75 years. From systematized land seizures to routine airstrikes, arbitrary detentions to military checkpoints, and enforced family separations to targeted killings, Palestinians have been forced to live in a state of death, both slow and sudden. Today, the Palestinian ordeal enters into uncharted territory. The coming days will require a firm stand against colonial retaliation. This is why Palestinians resist. Almost every night, between midnight and 5am, the Israeli army breaks into Palestinian homes across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Armed to the teeth and often masked, the soldiers arrive in groups of 10 to 100-plus and force their way into homes, sometimes blowing the door open. All family members - children to elderly people - are awoken and held at gunpoint as soldiers destroy their home and search, interrogate, beat and photograph them, among other things.

At approximately midday today, a group of Israelis led by a Member of Knesset and accompanied by Israeli media entered without authorisation into UNRWA’s compound in Sheikh Jarrah, #EastJerusalem. The group asserted they were “liberating” the “former UNRWA headquarters” on the occasion of Jerusalem Day, which for Israelis marks the reunification of the city. However, under international law, East Jerusalem is occupied territory and its annexation by the State of Israel is not recognised. The group brought flags and erected banners, seeking to claim the compound for the establishment of a new Israeli neighbourhood. Israeli police, alerted to the scene, failed to protect the inviolability of the United Nations premises. Following months of aggravated harassment directed towards the site and the entry into force of two anti-UNRWA Knesset laws in January 2025, United NationsRWA was forced to vacate the compound and withdraw under protest all its international staff. This unauthorised entry represents another violation of Israel’s obligations as a UN member state to protect United Nations premises and facilitate humanitarian work. UNRWA condemns today's illegal provocation.
