I vaguely hoped that I might get to meet Jin hyung. Jin hyung asked his manager hyung and found my contact information, then reached out to me first. 🐹Seungyoon ssi. I heard you’re coming here. 🐹There’s not much I can directly do for you, but since I’m serving here as a drill instructor, if you train hard and apply to become a drill instructor as well, we could serve together. We’d be doing the same job as colleagues, and I think we could support each other. 👱He was the first to reach out his hand. 🐹If you do things like this, you’ll be able to apply to be a drill instructor. [Jin giving Choco Pies to Kang Seungyoon] 251221 👱Here’s a heartwarming story from that time. Through the drill instructor in charge of our platoon, Jin hyung sent me a box of Choco Pies right when I was really struggling. 👏👏👏 👱A whole box of Choco Pies. I still can’t forget how touched I was at that moment. Of course, in everyday civilian life, a box of Choco Pies doesn’t mean much. But as a trainee, you can’t freely use the PX. Maybe once a week, once on the weekend. Trainees do receive supplies sometimes too—ramen, snacks, drinks. But when you’re going through the toughest training, those supplies never feel like enough. And you don’t even have the freedom to eat whenever you want. 👱So when I couldn’t go to the PX, that one box of Choco Pies Jin hyung gave me meant everything to me. I don’t even eat Choco Pies in civilian life. But in there, when you’re physically exhausted, eating something sweet hits you completely differently. That taste is no joke. Thankfully, since I had a whole box from Jin hyung, I ate one myself and then told the guys in my platoon, 👱“These are Choco Pies bestowed by Drill Instructor Kim Seokjin the Great.” 👱I didn’t hide them. I shared them. The Choco Pies disappeared in an instant. As much as I received, I shared the heartwarming story of Drill Instructor Kim Seokjin with the platoon and gratefully handed them out. 🐹Jimin and I have completely different workout styles. I keep it neat and tidy, I’m like “today, I will hit all three chest exercises, then move on to shoulders and abs, all in a flash.” It’s a bit short, even I think it’s a bit short, but I do about 30 minutes and head out. But Jimin works out, like a rice cooker, “hisssssss~~~” he was working out like this. So I asked him, “Jimin, when you work out like that, is that a workout or a rice cooker finishing cooking? I don’t really get it.” Then there was this one time when we were playing a game, and he suddenly said he needed to go somewhere. I said, “Where are you going?” Anyway, he said this was his last round of the game. When I asked where he was going, he said he couldn’t tell me. “No, where are you going? Why is it a secret from me?” “Ah, I just can’t, I just can’t tell you, hyung,“ Jimin said. That’s when I got a hunch. When Jimin works out, I don’t exactly bother him, but I do keep striking up conversations with him next to him. “Jimin, that’s not how you work out. Lifting such a light weight is a problem. You’re not holding dumbbells, it’s like you’re holding the Earth, you’re lifting air. Are cicadas coming from somewhere? I guess the rice is ready, Jimin.” I teases him a bit, but I don’t interrupt him when working out. Do I? I don’t bother him when I am exercising. I am not sure about when he’s working out, but I don’t bother him when I am exercising. Maybe I am a bad person? but I am not that bad though? I guess Jimin felt like he’s being interrupted, so he kept it a secret from me and went to work out. “Okay, I get it. Let’s just play the game up to this point.” So I turned the game off right away, and since I thought Jimin might go there, so I went to work out. To think that I was hiding it from my dad not know that he was observing me then he gave me money to go for check up so when I got back I told him I had malaria then he insisted on seeing the result and I told him I threw it away cause I didn’t think it was important then he asked for medication I told him I took injëctïon instead.
