📰 || 260407 The announcement of SEVENTEEN's group tour break and contract renewal were featured on SBS News. 👩🏻: At the performance concluding their 7-month world tour held in 14 cities around the world, the members of the group SEVENTEEN showed complex emotions on their faces. This is because, although they achieved great success last year, ranking second among K-pop groups in concert revenue, they will not be able to embark on a new tour for the next few years due to the members' military service. [THE8 #디에잇 | SEVENTEEN's Chinese Member: Even if we take a short break, i hope our CARATs will eventually come full circle and be by SEVENTEEN's side.] This tour also proceeded with 9 members instead of 13, as 4 members dropped out due to military enlistment. As such, military service is considered a fatal variable for K-pop boy groups. However, the approach has recently been changing. There is a noticeable tendency to prefer sequential enlistment, even if it delays the full return of the group. [Mimyo | Music Critic: [Rather than enlisting all at once] by choosing a method where the remaining members engage in unit or solo activities and steadily maintain their connection with fans, they can do so more stably.] Factors contributing to the emergence of cases where artists enjoy even greater popularity after their discharge include shorter military service periods, reduced social trauma regarding military culture, and the maturity of the K-pop market. (…) At the final performance, SEVENTEEN announced that all members had renewed their contracts. [S.COUPS #에스쿱스 | SEVENTEEN's Leader: All 13 of us have decided to renew our contracts, and we will work hard to sail on a same boat together.] SEVENTEEN's world tour concluded with a promise to return and the cheers of their fans. #SEVENTEEN #세븐틴 #セブチ 세븐틴(SEVENTEEN)

#FreenBecky - you know the drill 😅 Now. Them. When I thought back to the last actually planned public event for fans with the both of them, it seemed like forever ago. Looking at these women, that I remember as giggling teens, it’s truly remarkable how they’ve grown and how far they have come. What they were about to be asked and would say, I had no expectations. Whatever they gave, I was ready to receive. And what I received was a confirmation of reassurance. That the constant, albeit annoying, pleas from solos who despise their relationship, will never get what they want. But Becky and Freen, what they want is clearly each other in the ways that they were before. I’m sure there is some toxic opinion out there, ranting about something about them not being the same, blah blah. But please make this distinction, they have been the same, privately, their comfort level, their closeness, their talks of sharing, their jokes with one another. We know some of this from lives, TikToks, other interviews, etc. The specificity of what Becky requested was clearly a mutual consideration of both girls. One wanting more time and the other wanting to give her a break after working. It was one saying, no I still want to be around you even after being with each other all day for work and the other saying I know now and I want to take you out too. They essentially had a conversation that they probably would have had in private in front of our salad. But it was good that it happened, because many people needed to see it. And they needed to see Becky say and initiate it and for Freen to quickly say she was so ready for it. It was them giving hints that they probably have gone to the beach but we will never know that made my smile at the fact that she is still protecting their privacy. At this point, I don’t know what else can convince individuals to understand that despite all of the craziness that happens in this cyber and social space, Freen and Becky want to go through it together along with their friends and family that support them. It’s either you get in line or just walk away. Be useful elsewhere in your life instead of harming the progression of both of these women who want to have individual and couple career goals and will have them for quite a while longer. Nothing in your mind is gonna make a separation work or personally happen. Because they don’t WANT it. They WANT the bond, connection and relationship they have now with the perks of what they had before what the hectic work schedule demanded. And WHAT THEY WANT should always be about THEM. Individual or otherwise.

I haven’t had the chance to attend one of these events myself, but I would definitely love to talk about how WilliamEst carry themselves in them. First of all, they are both people who truly love their fans and are genuinely excited to see how they grow together with them over time. Simply seeing more people than they expected is something that must make them incredibly happy. One way they show this love is by taking the time to greet every single fan. Many might say, “it’s something simple,” but it really isn’t. It requires coordination and security, both for them and for their fans. And the fact that they still choose to do it—even if it means extending the event—speaks volumes about how deeply they care. For WilliamEst, it’s important that all their fans get to see them. Because let’s be honest: being physically close to them doesn’t always mean you actually get to see them clearly or interact with them. It’s like having them right there, yet somehow still far away. I know both of them are aware of this, and that’s why they try to find ways to share at least a few seconds with each fan. Est talks with the organizers to plan a walk around the venue that allows them to greet all the fans, while William shares his idea of the route with LYKN so that every fan has the chance to see them or say hello. And you know what the best part is? It’s never just a rushed greeting. They take their time—to greet, to interact, to look into the cameras of almost every fan, even doing the poses the fans ask for. That’s what makes the interaction feel even more genuine. WilliamEst are the kind of people who don’t just stand on a stage above their fans—they step down, close the distance, and remind everyone that they see them, appreciate them, and are grateful for every single person who came to support them.
