Several hundred students set up a non-violent anti-war protest camp at Freie Universität today. The police cleared the camp within hours — like this. The FU administration at the scene did not negotiate with the protesters. They refused to comment.

Clearly overwhelmed, the police blocked all entry points to the encampment and treated people who attempted to get there quite violently. There were many more scenes like this one. /2

Jewish student protester and organisier Udi Raz was pushed off-campus and briefly arrested at their own university

Meanwhile in Ireland After 4 days of student protests, Trinity College Dublin 🇮🇪 has vowed to pull its investments in Israeli companies that feature on a UN blacklist, and set up a taskforce to explore engagement with Israeli institutions.

@FU_Berlin My son was there. Got pepper sprayed in the eyes. ACAB!! Disgusting.

@FU_Berlin It seems to be part of Germany‘s support for Israel that we copy their methods of policing

@FU_Berlin It’s a race between Germany and Israeli to take top spot for the worst “democracy” on this planet.

@FU_Berlin Wer hätte gedacht, dass unsere Polizei im Nachkriegs-Deutschland nochmal zum Schandfleck unserer Demokratie wird?

@FU_Berlin The @FU_Berlin closed the account here a while ago, Hanno. We need to use other channels. I’ll write an email to the President later as a former PhD graduate there (but I bet they won’t care).

@FU_Berlin The guy with the keffiyeh running from the police.. what an icon.

@FU_Berlin Aha, so because it's a non-violent anti-war protest camp so many are wearing a Palestinian keffyeh and the Palestine flag is everywhere? 🤡🤡🤡
