The system is moving north–northwestward and is forecast to travel across the Sri Lanka coast and the adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal before reaching areas near North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh by early morning on 30 November. The storm is expected to spread rain, including locally heavy showers, from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to Andhra Pradesh through Friday and into early next week. Strong wind gusts are likely in Puducherry and eastern Tamil Nadu as the system progresses. In Sri Lanka, intermittent showers and thundershowers will occur across most regions. Very heavy rainfall exceeding 200 mm is likely in Northern, North-Central, Central, and North-Western provinces and in the Trincomalee district.
