And children fed lies and confusion do not suddenly become rationally informed, mature thinkers on their eighteenth birthday.

They become cosmetic body modifications. And like all of those, they shouldn't be outlawed. Likewise, they shouldn't be tax payer or insurance subsidized.

Transitioning makes no medical sense, for adults too. Nevertheless, adults have plenty of other opportunities to mess up their lives, and it's hard to protect them from hurting their health in general, but I don't think medical professionals should facilitate self-harm.
