The history of mobile phones can be traced back to the late 19th century, when communication through wireless telegraphy was first developed. However, the first mobile phone as we know it today was invented in 1973 by Martin Cooper, an engineer at Motorola. The Motorola DynaTAC, was a brick-shaped mobile phone and could only make phone calls and had a battery life of 30 minutes. In the 1990s, mobile phones became smaller and more affordable with Nokia becoming a dominant player. The 2000s saw the introduction of smartphones, which combined the functionality of a mobile phone with features like email, internet access, and a camera and now anything and everything you could have imagined.

Shakira has a repertoire of hits that have resonated with fans across continents, languages, and cultures. One of her most iconic songs, "Hips Don't Lie," featuring Wyclef Jean, is a sizzling blend of Latin, reggae, and world music influences, and it topped charts worldwide in 2006. Her earlier hits like "Whenever, Wherever" and "Underneath Your Clothes" from her English debut album "Laundry Service" showcased her unique vocal style and made her an international sensation. In the Spanish-speaking world, tracks like "La Tortura," a duet with Alejandro Sanz, and "Ciega, Sordomuda" are timeless classics. Shakira's versatility in both music and language, combined with her distinct voice and dance prowess, has cemented her status as one of the most influential Latin artists of her generation.
