Shalamar - A Night to Remember (1982)

Jeffrey Daniel, a dancer, choreographer, and member of the R&B group Shalamar, taught Michael Jackson the "backslide," which became universally known as the moonwalk. Daniel pioneered the move on Soul Train and Top of the Pops in the early 1980's.

Shalamar were an incredible group. So many top quality tracks on this "Friends" LP. Stil listen to their songs on a regular basis.

A Night To Remember, The Second Time Around, Make That Move, Dancing In The Sheets, Take That To The Bank, all great songs.

Seeing these albums as I scroll Brings back GenX memories of lying on floor in front of record player. As it spins and skip at times I while sing and glance at the back covers. Staring at the the melted house, mailbox, and other items on the Heatwave cover Or The men legs in the air of Earth Wind & Fire album back cover. I miss those days.

I LOVE this song!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 But the video for it is WILD!😳

Never reuniting is unforgivable, and now knowing it was Jody all along. Finding out she’s a conspiracy theorist, what a letdown. Howard, Jeffrey- no blame.

So so good. Made me believe in the power of love!! Songs like this are the ONLY reason I miss high school.

All three went on to have successful solo careers

I play the extended version all of the time!

Great tune

Biggest ear worm ever

I started with Uptown Festival (because I love Motown) and followed them on to other hits; Take That To The Bank, Second Time Around, Full Of Fire, Make That Move and this one!! Pure gold!!

Great, great, pop-R&B song.

Ridiculous munts doing ridiculous, irrelevant, worthless munt shit.

I like your muzack!

My favorite Shalamar song.
