I always found this to be kinda dumb because it's one thing for Raiden to sacrifice his immortality, but why did they have him sacrifice his powers too when everyone else in the tournament can use their own weapons and magic powers?

Seeing this and realizing how bad of an idea it was to take away his hammer and spears in MK1 is like a spear in my back! MK1 Shao is just done wrong gameplay-wise

Really annoyed me that Raiden didn't have his lightning powers. I get that the writers wanted to put him on the same level as the other characters, but they also shouldn't have made him OP in the first film
