Shared my thoughts on Canada getting caught cheating ahead of the Olympics this morning on CP24. It is beggars belief to think Priestman didn't know that this was going on. I've been told that drones have been part of the "arsenal" for preparation for the last decade. 1/2.

Lots of Canadian voices are speaking about this today. Lombardi and Mander are widely regarded as good people. They have been caught in the middle of this. Leadership is about accountability. An Independent Review put into motion by Canada Soccer will be well received. 2/2

@onesoccer You sound awfully sure of your facts as detective, judge, and jury.

Nailed it beginning to end.

Someone's not familiar with the concept of procedural fairness among other things. A proper investigation needs to determine who's responsible. In any case, it's an embarrassment to our country and women's program. I hope those responsible/complicit will be held accountable.

This could not have been said better. We are supposed to believe these 2 staffers did this in isolation. They wanted tactical information. Who sets the strategy/tactics for the team: the head coach. Give me a break. This is embarrassing.

So naive and out of touch. You don’t know the facts, are connecting dots that don’t make a picture and were placed randomly by many. I’ve been a coach of a team I trusted that had people who did things I didn’t approve of, that I took responsibility for on learning the facts.

Pretty much sums it all up perfectly in under 2 minutes.

What a shame, all the hard work and effort to build a better brand and fans of this sport is hindered by this poor and shameful move. What a shame, bad look soccer Canada. Proper discipline and accountability is essential.

I 100% agree!
