Cool how he hangs around to have the snack, not just a grab and go. Lol

Haha, it's so cute, brave animals and kind people, a very harmonious picture.

This is a #Himalayan #Marmot. Found in grasslands of Himalayas & Tibetan plateau, lives in burrows. Do you know what to do when you site such beautiful #wild animals. Do not feed them at all. They don't need 'sympathy based conservation', they need space. This is what happen in such cases; - You feed them like others - they get used to the taste - they start living near the roads - they forget wild traits, predators also follow them & both keep getting killed by vehicles. This is exactly happening in case of marmot in ladakh. Now most of Himalayan #Marmot burrows are near roads. They all want to eat chips & biscuits. People show mercy and throw food at them. They have survived there for thousands of years. They are habitual to hard climate. They don't need our mercy now.

before our armchair naturalists get triggered to say "you can't feed human snacks to wild animals - their systems didn't evolve to deal with processed food"... neither is our human system...and that hasn't stopped us from snacking ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
