Sharp, realtime shadows make a big difference in how your avatar blends in the environment, and I just noticed Poiyomi Pro added contact shadows. Here are my settings for this look below, close to default ⤵️

I have updated Lightbox Viewer to V2.4.0: - Added new specialized lightboxes. They will only appear if the Light Volumes package is installed. - Lights inside the avatar are no longer disabled by default. - Add support for Poiyomi SSAO and similar effects.

I went farther back in time, and made a stream overlay that put us in caveman times. The gameplay and vtuber model show up as shadows on the cave wall, just like how they used to game.

i hate that i am getting to know Maya at a slower pace than i am making these. just figured out how to make blood effects that looks really nice... and how to make the laser not cast shadows. lol. oh well. here's a snippet that i honestly really like, with just pure ambiance

In this scenario, I've used Assassins Creed: Shadows on two different machines using the same settings and set the following settings for upscaling. In-game resolution at 720p and changed the resolution scaling to 20% (144p) while keeping the sharpness at 30% Which one looks better?

Turned on Assassin's Creed: Shadows for a bit and I just wonder if people are grabbing it by the neck just because it's Ubisoft? It got flaws but the devs crafted game mechanics perfectly, like you won't see in other games. The environment & Weather system was flawless! When you are in the game, you feel like it's such a great game. Personally my major complaint was the bloated world & I stopped playing after the main mission, apart from that it was good!

I got eye tracking working with the look at shader. It's all on one material and obviously it's not perfect but it's a good start. You can make it so it only does this in the camera to make sure you're always looking at the camera for photos.

visionOS 26 is king. Just look at how it handles environment occlusion. Apps blend seamlessly with the real world, tucked behind static objects. This behavior is automatically applied to pinned widgets and Quick Look 3D models, and can be added to any entity in RealityKit.
