2 options that could've yielded different outcomes: 1- Taking keys to prevent drivers from taking off during stops 2- Performing PIT maneuvers at areas with continuous grass or open areas without concrete or aluminum barriers on the side of the road.

Bad time for a pit maneuver. There was alot of traffic and they got lucky the car didn't go into the opposite lane of traffic. This could have been much worse. I'm sure the highway patrol woman was reprimanded for this. @Grok do you know any further details about this incident? And please don't just explain what happened in the video. I want to know if anyone else was hurt besides the driver, if the officer was reprimanded, and why the person fled in the first place. Thank you.

When police pull someone over why don't they first of all demand the car keys and only return them once the stop has been fully dealt with. This would instantly stop anyone doing a runner.

That driver speeding to get away, how many people did she cut off? How many red lights did she run and cause other accidents? Speeding driver may have killed other people too, that we don’t know of. Don’t deserve to be driving. Played the game and lost.
