I think her real insight is men bringing the "how to succeed in work" ideology into relationships. Trying to do a capitalism with a person you want a loving relationship with simply won't work. Two different operating systems.

Men asking "what do you bring to the table" is like a recruiter for the worst employer ever asking "why should we hire you" when you're not even looking for a job.

And can I just add how phenomenal what she said was. She's not blaming men, in a way she's sympathizing with us. Saying in a way 'this is how you were taught from men in your life, it's wrong, let's try to break this cycle together.' No notes. ❤

I don't quite buy this one. It may be applicable to some scale, but most of us have been in a bad relationship before. A lot of us don't immediately translate the negative experiences from that onto all future relationships. If you do, that's what therapy is for.
