The point should not be that the officers were not fired, but that an elected official was emboldened enough to make threats and not be prosecuted for abuse of power or at least be fired for corruption!

$25 + $800 for DUI. What a joke.

The cops did good, especially their supervisor. As usual, the judge failed the public trust with such a weak fine and no real punishment. Judges are the problem in this country.

I support all these cops there. They were all willing to lose their jobs together to so the right thing and the i can see why, their supervisor shows up and is signing his name to the paperwork with them. Love it great supervisor.

Buddy just got off on a dui like what?

Fuck politicians!! No one is above the law

Who gives AF if he's the mayor, that exactly what is wrong with this country we don't have near enough of this.......Bravo 👏👏👏

W.T.F., someone should’ve call a local news station. The judge should be investigated. $25. Fine & $800. Court cost. Loss of License, $5/10,000.00 fine. The patrol officers did the right thing. Supervisor, poor judgement. MAYOR should be fired. Seems to make threats regularly

Wow I’m actually impressed with these officers….and surprised

The fact that any officer had even an iota of concern about enforcing the law equally when it came to a politician shows how deeply compromised the system is. It shows how little trust they have in their own leadership and the public to have their backs. Good on the Sgt for protecting his people, though. That’s a leader.

$825 for a DUI That is disgraceful. We get a felony and all kinds of fines, classes, and likely jail time or probation

There’s two tiers of justice in America. Politicians and the wealthy rarely face actual consequences.

I'm from Fort Wayne. The cops weren't fired. He was elected again, but the mayor has since passed away. This was a while ago, but am glad they did their job.

Straight bs

No one is above the law🤣🤣

Every department in every jurisdiction in every state needs to have the same level of justice served. it’s refreshing to see law-enforcement officers, standing together to do the right thing. Good on the mayor for not causing any of them grief and admitting his guilt.

Least he wasn’t raping a kid. Pretty much the prerequisite today to hold a high govt position

Fuck that mayor. Cunt

It’s ridiculous that they have to fear for their careers for doing the right thing. Slavery.

Wish all cops were like this group.
He died last year of stomach cancer. Had the same schedule as him for monthly whiz quizzes at probation. He made some mistakes but overall did a lot for Fort Wayne Indiana, especially our downtown area.

They both did the right thing but the punishment didn't fit the crime it had been you or me brother you know I would be looking at looking at losing are driver's license we'd be paying $2,500 fine and probation that cost another $1,200

If he made things difficult for the officers, people would be rallying behind them to get this mayor out of office.

Mayor should be fired.

ICE is hiring, and they won’t punish you for doing your job.

What’s the mayors name and what district/ city does he represent

Amazing how routine an arrest is if you're not resisting!

Was that the actual fine amount? @Grok says: No, the fine amount mentioned in the X post ($25 plus $800 in court fees) does not align with the actual penalty imposed on Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry for his drunk driving incident in 2022. According to reliable sources like AP News and WTHR, Henry was ordered to pay more than $3,000, which included a fine, court costs, and restitution. This discrepancy suggests the X post may have either misreported or simplified the financial penalties for dramatic effect. The actual legal outcome was significantly higher, reflecting a more substantial consequence for his actions.

Like they say no one is above the law.

Fuck these 1part videos!!

Always choose morality over obedience.

The officers did the right thing. The one that should be removed from office is the mayor.

That would be retaliation though

I hate they even had that conversation. Just take the drunk Mayor to jail just like anyone else.
