I’m thankful for the small church that I attend, we have a benevolent fund that is always given to the poor. Either the local charity food bank or individuals that are in need. These mega churches are a problem, they get so big it becomes a business rather than doing the Lords work on earth. Pastors shouldn’t live in million dollar homes. Our church owns a modest home and the pastor lives in it for free as part of their income from the church. No one gains earthly riches in my church.

Once the government got involved with helping communities, a lot of churches turned into business. This social experiment is right on time for the drama and bitch fits over the government shut down. If the churches dont help, stop going there and giving them money.

Most churches don’t keep baby formula in stock. I belong to a very active Lutheran Church in Virginia that is strong on social justice. If my church was called most likely, she would’ve been offered a gift card or information on where to get baby formula for free

Germantown Baptist over the last few years here in Tennessee has been well in the news for the number of scandals that have come out of that church. I’m honestly surprised anybody still goes there.
