The United States is not a pure democracy. We are a constitutional republic. I just posted a detailed breakdown on Substack explaining the difference and why it matters so much right now. Democrats love to say everything is a "threat to our democracy" but they rarely explain what our actual system was designed to do. This is foundational knowledge every American should understand.

This is a system in which there is a thin upper class of elites who basically control the vast majority of people. This is nothing new. In ancient Greece, Aristotle did an excellent job of analysing how such a system works and what it looks like:

We are being deprived of our most basic rights and we are facing a government hostile to Kurdish politicians.
