She doesn’t know how to pronounce many words properly—which is bad enough—but she also doesn’t know the meaning of words and tries to sound smarter than she is. Listen to her here as she tries to use the word “gamut” properly in a sentence but says “gambit” instead. Not realizing that just because words might sound somewhat similar doesn’t mean they are definitionally the same in any way. Candace, you’ve taken weeks off to make your triumphant return from Russia. Surely you could have brushed up on your weak grasp of the English language instead of learning Russian all this time? I’d say it would aid you better, but with the direction you’ve been going lately, perhaps it would benefit you more to learn Russian at this point.
