officer benevides made one crucial mistake, he warned her more than twice, the correct way is after 2 warnings, the 3rd time is arrest.

If she really didn’t do anything wrong, she would just shown the officer her I.D and insurance. Anyone who makes it difficult are hiding something

All cops are wrong for arresting and booking motorists into jail for refusal to identify during traffic stops. No state statute/law authorizes such. Every statute/law is clear in that motorists are to be transported without unnecessary delay to the nearest magistrate for a prompt probable cause hearing. Magistrates work in courthouses, not jailhouses. Refusal to show documentation is not a jailable offense and is not listed as a crime in the state penal or criminal code. The Vehicle Code is “procedural”in nature, not penal. Refusal to show ID is an infraction at best and infractions are offenses not punishable by imprisonment. As an example, see California Penal Code section 19.6. This is why the prompt probable cause hearing exists though officers do not follow it because 99% of motorists (citizens) are ignorant to it and it saves the system so much time and money. If you don’t know (your rights), the system will act like it also doesn’t know.

Maybe traffic stop etiquette and rules should be taught in Drivers Ed class and tested on when applying for a drivers license. Seeing way too many of the idiots in videos not complying with legal orders.
